As the lights dimmed, anticipation of unfathomable dimensions were felt all around 9009 Sunset Blvd. Ted Gardner, Norwood, and Mark McGrath were just some of the many faces lining the inside walls of the Roxy. Kids outside were crowding any space they could find to get a glimpse of what was happening inside. Outside the doors, they were chanting "Fuck KROQ" and looking for any opportunity to get in the front, double glass doors, but security was tight. As Jane's Addiction walked on stage, everyone started yelling as if it were 1986 again. Perry with his new put-up dew, Flea with his florescent white hair, Stephen with a big smile, and Dave with his cool strut all picked up their instruments and started playing Oceansize. Fans started going crazy, moshing it up with style. The crowd's vibe was being felt once again, and Jane's Addiction knew it. Farrell was singing side to side, as if he had never took a 6 year break. Dave stayed to the left of the stage while Flea added pep to the right side of the stage. Stephen was hammering away like a little kid getting a drum set for the first time. For all you optimists out there...Flea played Three Days tight and was truly amazing the entire show. The whole night was fun, you all might not have been there tangibly, but very much with me spiritually.
