My
name is Ahmad Hafiz. I am 15 years old. I live in Taman Melawati,
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My hobby is to play chess. I have won several
tournaments, most of which were held in Kuala Lumpur. I am also a member of
Chess Association of Selangor (CAS). I love playing chess very much. I spend
about two hours daily doing chess problems in order to improve and sharpen my
skills.
I also represent my school and the District of Gombak in chess tournaments
for the past 5 years. I received a lot encouragement from my family especially
my parents. My headmistress and my chess teachers also gave me continuous
support. I'm very grateful to all of them.
Let me tell you about my family. I have an elder sister who is currently
taking up a degree in Bachelor of Commerce at the Australian National
University, Canberra, Australia. I miss her very much and hope to see
her soon when she comes back for her vacation. I have a fun loving
'baby' brother whom I loved very much. We share the same interest in
chess besides football and badminton.
My ambition is to be a
great scientist. Of course I would also like to be an International Grandmaster
like Garry Kasparov. I would love to meet him one day.
