Pick Of The Month

April

We met the newcomers to the class for the first time. Most of the others had changed to the grey NJ uniform, but I was still wearing my yellow and blue Crescent uniform. Our tutors still remained. I was also posted to the previous CL class.

Today was a real special day. Got to church extra early. Slipped and fell after my baptism. Paiseh. But still felt very happy. Can be considered a perfect belated birthday gift for me.

I made the decision to join CAC after I dropped out of Internet Club. Had a hard time finding out where is the computer lab CS33 (now one of the rooms I go to most frequently). An alienated feeling the first time I was there, very different from now. Quite at home now.

Wore my NJ uniform for the very first time. Got to college at noon for flag day. A group of us went to Ang Mo Kio to sell flags.
Had to keep smiling. Quite tired at the end of the day, but very fulfilling. Felt very glad when each of us went back with flags more than half gone, and donation bags almost full. Our effort had not gone to waste. Went back to NJ.
Changed into casual wear for the BBQ which was the official "finale" to Orientation II. Had a hard time setting up the fire. Very special to have all the Yr1s barbeque in college compounds. Quite fun but hope we did not contribute to the haze. Sheessshh...
Free dancing after the sky darkened. Regretted not "freeing" myself that night.

Went to a Esta's house to prepare the food for the food fair afterwards. Had 'fun' cutting up the food for our salads. Our class was supposed to sell salads. We had prepared a banner for our stall yesterday.
We got to college at 4 pm. One of our classmates was leaving NJ as he chose to further his studies in a Poly. This was the last day he would be coming to college.
The guys came up with many silly phrases to attract customers to the stall. " 滋补养颜，养精蓄锐；强身健体，通畅无阻". They also called the people who passed by (mostly college-mates) 帅哥美女 ("handsome guys" and "pretty girls"), hoping they would take a second look at our stall. It was really funny.
Our chicken and potato salad was selling fast and was sold out before the fair ended.

Quite an uneventful event. But still, I enjoyed the cheer at the end of the whole thing.

Great concert put up by the Western Dance.
Some of which I had deep impression: "Moods", "Steam", "Move On" and of course "Thump" performed by my 3 friends Kaiwen, Dewei and Alex. ("triplets" who looked really alike). Also not forgetting the finale "Party On". Very lively music.
Had to go under the locked college gates after the concert. Sigh...

Actually we were not really involved in any way. However I was quite touched by the speeches. Many shed tears, others teared inside.
On the same day, our soccer team beat another JC (shall not name) on the fields. Victory was definitely sweet. Got a half day on 2805.

The cheering session at the end was really nice. The college was very much alive then.

Celebrated a friend's birthday at Takashimaya.
Met some college mates and also ex-schoolmates from Crescent.
Birthday boy and girl were sabotaged and there goes the "poor" cake.
Sang and chatted under the moonlit sky on grassland. Heh! How's that? Very romantic hoh.

Chicago clinched the NBA title again. I did not get to watch it LIVE because of a meeting that day. But we did it "secretly" by attending the meeting and watching the game from the PC screen at the same time. Haha.

Sigh... Holidays are over and tests again. Good thing is that I survived and I passed F.Maths... finally. Got an F for the F.Maths Academic Test.
