Kai Yan Wang
Kai Yan Wang was the evil ruler of the Sanjiyan Unkara. When the Sanjiyan tribe rebelled against Kai Yan's evil ways, a great battle took place that resulted in the total destruction of the Sanjiyan race with the exception of a couple survivors.
Kai Yan Wang is more of a title than a name. Kai Yan Wang's real name is Shiva, which is a destructive god in Hindu mythology. The Sanjiyan gave their lives to seal Shiva away where he could no longer reap havoc on the Sanjiyan or Human race.
Shiva was Pai's fiancee when Pai was a young Sanjiyan. During a humanification ceremony something went wrong and Shiva was corrupted by the great power he recieved. From that point on, his only goal was domination of the Sanjiyan and Human worlds. Pai seems to have lead the Sanjiyan against Kai Yan Wang and was the loan survivor of the following battle.
Throughout the story of 3x3 Eyes, Benares (Kai Yan Wang's Wu) plots to release the evil king from his prison so that he may rule the world once again. In order to do this though, he needs the Statue of Humanity and the power of another Sanjiyan to give to the weakened king. Until the time when Kai Yan Wang can be resurrected, Benares leads Kai Yan's followers in a quest to capture all remaining Sanjiyan and the Statue of Humanity.
