Photos in Osaka and Kyoto

First day of landing at Osaka, Japan. Seen here at dinner hosted by Hotel Plaza with Fujimura Saori.
This photo was also taken during the Hotel Plaza dinner, this time with Iga Aya (leftmost) and Tsujita Rina. Aya was one of our 2 AYO concertmasters and also one of our 2 student soloists (The other one was Okura Megumi).
This is Judy Tay, whom I knew before joining AYO.... we were playing together before in Singapore Youth Orchestra.... She is now back in Singapore after finishing her Masters in music from Michigan University.
Seen here with Sindy Wan, Patrick Lee and Tsai Loo....wonder how are they now....
This is the other violin teacher Mr Adamopoulos, he coached my string quartet group besides the first violin section rehearsals.
A group of us gathered outside the hotel room after the dinner for this photo.... We were given some souvenirs, one of which was the fan, see that some of us opened it for posing in the photo?? So fun....
The 4 of us were trying to put some nice postures for this photo... ha ha ha!!!
Seen here are Okura Megumi, Leung Lok, Shin Su Jung and me!! Do you think our postures are wonderful??!!
This was taken from my hotel room in Osaka.... We crossed the pedestrian crossings there to the shop opposite to buy cup noodles before.... I remembered it was very expensive....
This photo was taken by Momoko (squatting in the middle in front) and sent to me after AYO had ended. She took this after the rehearsal before the concert in Osaka. The lady standing in the middle is our solo soprano for Mahler's Symphony Number 4 last movement, world reknown Miss Elly Ameling.
This photo was taken by Jenny Tan actually ..... I didn't have any films in my camera then when we went to Kyoto and Nara for sightseeing.... This is the famous golden palace in Kyoto.... Kyoto and Nara are very pretty sight-seeing locations, if only we can go there visiting again....
We had a very teary performance in Kyoto .... whereby we said goodbye to one of our conductors Mr David Alan Miller and our violin soloist Mr Young Uck Kim....I managed to take this photo with him at the very traditional back-stage of the Kyoto concert hall (with tatami floors ....). He was actually very sad and teary-eyed during his last rendition of the Sibelius Violin Concerto (See his red eyes??).... It was very rush, after the concert, all of us immediately walked to the nearest subway station to take the bullet train from Kyoto to Tokyo...... I remembered most of us were still in our concert attire and the whole troop marched to the station, many still with tears in their eyes as we were so sad to leave our two maestros and no time for a farewell party for them!!
