What is Thinking Day?

jjjjjjjjjjjjjOn February 22, we celebrate the birthday of both Lord Robert Baden-Powell, who founded the Boy Scout movement in England, and his wife, Lady Olave, who was the World Chief Guide of the Girl Guide/Girl Scout movement. Girl Guides and Girl Scouts make a special effort to meet on Thinking Day to exchange greeting with their sisters in other countries and to give contributions to the Thinking Day Fund. This fund is used to promote the Girl Guide/Girl Scout movement throughout the world and to help Girl Guide and Girl Scout organizations in various countries.
