The Crisis Intervention Program (CIP) provides the most critical services needed immediately by a woman who is in crisis as a result of violence and abuse. These cover emotional support and counseling, services for her health and medical needs, legal assistance, shelter and on-going support. Each of these areas constitutes a separate program under the overall CIP.

Feminist Counseling (Hotline and Face-to-Face)

Trained feminist counselors assist the survivors by affirming their worth, getting them out of the trap of emotions such as fear, shame, self-denial, guilt and self-blame. Proper information on the women's situation is presented to enable them to make informed choices and decisions, thus regaining control over their lives. All counseling sessions are given the utmost confidentiality.

Medical Assistance and Advocacy Program
Medical assistance is extended to survivors/victims who have expressed such needs. These may range from medical tests and check-ups, accompaniment to clinics, hospitals, crime laboratories and medico-legal offices. It likewise provides referrals to other professionals and helping institutions. The medical programs includes Stress and Tension Reduction Therapy (STRT) and other relaxation techniques that address the physical discomfort, pain and stress accompanying the survivors' trauma
Legal Assistance and Advocacy Program
The Legal Program provides legal information and apprise women of their legal rights. WCC also maintains a network of lawyers, paralegal and lawyers' groups where survivors can avail of services which may range from legal consultations to court representations. WCC staff and advocates likewise accompany them to courts, hearings and other government offices.
Temporary Shelter Program
A safe and short term refuge is available to survivors where they are assured of emotional support as they try to recover from the danger of violent relationships and the trauma of sexual assault. While at the shelter, other services of the WCC can also be arranged. It is the only shelter that accepts both mothers and their children.
Survivors' Support Group
Survivors are provided an opportunity and a venue to reach out to other survivors. There are survivors' support groups for battered women, rape and incest survivors and children of abused women. Activities that promote personal support and women empowerment include group counseling sessions, stress management, educational, recreational or skills training, depending upon the needs expressed by the survivors.
