Poem by Sorrow
I lay upon her dewy breast
soft the sound as we rest
I listen as she has her say
with her love I find my way
Thrill the cry her child sings
as he lifts upon the wing
My racing heart doth find its pace
as once again I find my place
And gentle do lay back my head
upon my mother's grassy bed
I gaze aloft the starry sky
as my soul breaks free to fly
Up and up where angels dwell
to crash to earth plunge to hell
Oh this mortal flesh my curse
to be damned would be no worse
Mother goddess still my hand
heal at once this broken land
Screams the hunter in the night
I look aloft and see his flight
Oh my brother the life you know
what I'd give to have it so
To hunt to live upon the wind
and never to know the price of sin
Oh my mother I beg of thee
release my spirit lift it free
Softly she speaks...
Know thy place my gentle doe
the sky is not for you to go
Find thy path thru disarray
my love for you will show the way
Oh my precious little love
you are a bird, a turtledove
For you..it is to heal my land
for you..it is to make the stand
You are my tongue, and so my fears
you are my faith, and so my ears
You are my hand set free to heal
you have a place upon the wheel
Bring my children home to me
light the dark so they might see
Gift to them the love I give
that they grow strong and so may live
This is my word as you have asked
and so to you I set the task
Go forth my bard and gentle poet
spread my message, let them know it
Know my love... |
