Author's notes: This one’s weird, I admit it, but it got stuck in my head and wouldn’t go away until I wrote it. Sorry guys, this one is angsty. But it’s got a happy ending, I promise! Scenes alternate between Buffy and Angel’s POV.

I sang it in chorus my sophomore year of high school. The program (which was quite a trick to find in my box of old letters) says it was arranged by Peter Knight. I had to listen to a recording to get the words, so they may not be exact. It’s a really pretty song, by the way.
