For the second time an award will be given for the best film in the section "Different Love" of the Molodist International Film Festival. The program presents films in gay, lesbian contexts.

This year in the section "Different Love" 6 movies coming from Australia, Argentina, Czech Republic, France and Ukraine were presented.

The jury decided to award the prize in the "Different Love" nomination to young Argentinean director Diego Lerman for his film "Suddenly", for sovereign and humorous as well as comprehensible colloquial with the homosexuality, in this case lesbians being. In spite of that for the poetic picturelanguage and for the enormous emotional statement power. All, first of all female, protagonists are staged very affectionate and powerful and incarnate the diversity women erotic.

"Molodist" is the first film festival in Eastern Europe and the second in the world (after Berlinale) to present such a section in its program. Unfortunately, the prize for the best "Different Love" film is not an official "Molodist" award.

The rabbit - symbol of fertility and happy-go-lucky attitude - could very well become the talisman of a debut festival. We also hope, that next year the "Different Love" section will present more films of various genres, themes and countries.

The "Different Love" jury wishes to thank the festival organisers for the attention, they pay the issue and all the participants, who presented their works in competition.

International jury of the "Different Love" nomination (out-of-competition program) of the 33-th Molodist International Film Festival in Kiev:
Manuela Kąy (Germany)
Yaroslav Bychekhuyev (Ukraine)
Alissa Trakhanenko (Ukraine)
