The chance for me to be with her

Time and time again,

Struggles within

Chances came and gone

All too soon

All too hastily

As time zooms by

We drew closer

Friends at first

So awed yet so comfortable

Linked in spirit

Linked by true friendship

That realization,

That something was amiss,

In this equation we see.

Forced us both mad

With desire, with fear, with guilt

As days go by

It kept us wondering

Is there more to this?

Worries seeped in

as I see her more

Alas! She and I are not to be

I thought, but just friends?

I craved her company

Even when I’m with another

Even when I know it’s not meant to be

She stuck by me,

Fallen again and again

As my darts aimed at her

My poison creeps in to torment her

Refusing to take in the reality

That reality that we are meant to be

An item, a couple, a pair

An impossible pairing

By society’s standards

As deviant, immoral, impossible.

As fate has it,

As fate decree

I’ve come out of confusion

All new and dewy

To accept this new found love

That bloomed in me

For her and her alone

We are indeed together

As charmed by her as she hooked to me

We vowed to be together

This dance, this life, till eternity
