I first found their site on the internet at http://www.beachpatong.com/connect/ and after a look around at what they had to offer and a few e-mails to connect@beachpatong.com  I made my reservation for five weeks of relaxation in September 1998. Taking my holidays in the "low" season has many benefitsone of which can be the low cost of the accommodation (which leaves more bahts over for the "naughty" things). At the time of my first visit the guys at Connect (Ulf and Orjan) where very busy with re-furbishing the bar and reception area, and the rooms in the Guest House where being painted and decorated ready for the season.
During my last visit in September 1999 I was able to see all the improvements that they had managed to achieve in such a short space of time. I treated myself this last visit tothe large airconditioned "Penthouse" room with "en-suite" bathroom, complementary coffee and tea and with fantastic views overlooking the bars and clubs. Connect is situated in the middle of everything,next door to James Dean Bar and Guest house, and Coffeshop Tipaluck, opposite Young Shark, and only a few doors from My Way and The Boat Bar.
During my first visit to Connect in 1998 I took a very pleasant room on the first floor at the front of the building, air-conditioned, private bathroom with hot and cold water, a mini-bar and a TV with all the channels you would want to see plus a video film channel. 
Breakfast and a very extensive Restaurant Menu that many a five star restaurant would be very proud of is served in the Bar / Reception / Restaurant area or on the two terraces all day for those of you who need to have a sleep in after a night on the town.
If you need to keep in touch with home they have  two computers connected to the internet with all possible mail programs and someone to help you if you would like someone cute sitting next to you!!
Another welcome service is a very quick and resonaably priced "in house" laundry where I was able to leave my "smalls" for collection the next day.

They even can rent you a moped with insurance and the compulsary crash helmet if you would like to see a little more of Phuket than the imediate area, and without the hassle of having to pick up and take back your moped to a possibly dubious operator.

I have stayed in many hotels, large and small, in many countries but for those of you looking for a place to stay where you are a person with a name and not a room number I can personally recommend Connect Guest House for 100% !!!
I will certainly be back for the third time next year!

Situated next door to the place that I stayed at (Connect) this is a building that is virtually a mirror image. An English guy that I met was staying here and was more than pleased with his accommodation. The rooms are air-conditioned, with private bathrooms with hot and cold water, a mini-bar and a TV. Breakfast is not available on the premises but everyone seems to use the terrace from Connect which is only 10 metres away.
