Jeri Ryan's Filmography

(Added March 18 from Star Trek Continuum)

03.13.00 Dispatch: Misstep Results in Hairline Fracture for Jeri Ryan.

Star Trek: Voyager actress Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) suffered a hairline fracture in her foot last Thursday (March 9, 2000), after slipping on a step.

Unfortunately for many journalists the break occurred the morning of the "UPN Standard Thursday," a network press junket at the Standard Hotel in Los Angeles that Ryan was scheduled to attend. The junket featured several UPN stars, including Star Trek: Voyager's own Robert Picardo (The Doctor).

The Doctor's diagnosis for Ms. Ryan? "I would recommend long, slow, sensual massage from a talented medical professional, such as myself...at her convenience and by mutual agreement with my wife. I wish her well. We really need her big time for our season finale."

The injury is not believed to be serious enough to delay the production of Voyager. STAR TREK CONTINUUM wishes Jeri a speedy recovery.

Cinescape

In the article "Ryan's Hope," Jeri says,"I discovered that being brave [about the restrictive costume] wasn't saving any time. I was saying, 'I'm fine, let's do another take.' then I'd hear somebody call out, 'Jeri passed out again!'" (Issue November/December 1997-98.)

Sci-Fi Entertainment

In this article also called "Ryan's Hope", Ryan has been talking about how long her Borg makeup takes. "The hardest thing was keeping the eyes from popping off, both the laser over one eye for the full-Borg and the little eye-piece for the half-Borg. Every time I would smile or laugh--which is constantly on this set, we do a lot of that--my eye kept popping off....Once everybody realized that would happen if I laughed, it became the ambition in everyone's life to make my eye fall off as much as possible."(Issue January 1998.)

Star Trek Communicator

In the article "Star Trek's New Borg Pirate," Ryan says "I think the producers definitely wanted to add some sexuality and they said my physicality was a happy by-product of casting me. I'm fine with that as long as they continue to write the character the way they've written her....As long as she's dressed!" (Issue February/March 1998.)

Sci-Fi Universe

In the article "Visiting Voyager" by Melissa J. Perenson, while shooting a scene in Retrospect, Ryan says "The toughest thing is trying to do a scene, particularly a scene like that, and keep a straight face when you're standing six inches from Bob Picardo,...Well, Ethan Phillips is even worse, actually. Those two are the toughest [to work opposite]. We have a lot of fun on this show. We don't always get a lot accomplished because we're laughing too much, but we have a lot of fun." (Issue June 1998.)
