The Sensational Spider-Man # 26

Story: Todd Dezago, Art: Todd Nauck & Andrew Hennessey
SESP#26 Hydro-Man, who coveted the reward on the web-slinger's head for an alleged murder, had hijacked a busload of civilians and commandeered a communitary water tower, asking the appearence of Spider-Man.

The Sand-Man showed up, entered into battle with the Hydro-Man and with a little help of the Silver Sable, they had caught the watery villanous. Meanwhile, Spider rescued many hostages during the course of the struggle, but he was still the target of bounty hunters immediately afterward.

Realizing how untenable his position was as the costumed Spider-Man, the webspinner paid a visit to his friend and technological wizard, Robbie Brown, asking for assistence.

The Amazing Spider-Man # 433

Writer: Tom DeFalco, Penciler: Tom Lyle, Inker: Bud LaRosa
Peter Parker was forced to battle the rampaging Mr. Hyde in a Hotel where he was attending a party for the Bugle's departing editor in chief, Joe Robertson.

Having left his Spider-Man costume home because of the bounty on the webspinner's head for murder, Peter was forced to improvise and donned a sweatshirt, tying the hood so it covered his face. Thus he battled Mr. Hyde as the Green Hood.

After the struggle, Peter remarked to his wife how difficult it would ever be for him to return to his Spider-Man identity because of the five million dollar bounty on him. Mary Jane's idea was to help her husband devise a brand new identity that would allow him to continue fighting crime and saving innocents.

Peter Parker Spider-Man # 90

Story and art: Howard Mackie, John Romita Jr., Scott Hanna
PPSM#90

A downtown New York neighborhood was being sucked into another universe called Negative Zone.

While investigating the phenomenon, Spider-Man was drawn through the rift where he later became embroiled in a war between the imperial forces and revolutionaries of an alien planet.

Spidey was asked by the wounded rebel leader to take on his charismatic costume identity, called Dusk, to lead the rebel forces to victory.

After accomplishing the awesome task, fighting and defeating Blastaar, the living bomb, the dimension-hopping webslinger brought the rebel leader costume with him when he returned to Earth.

And now it's time for Peter Parker to don that alien guise again, because the risks of becoming Spider-Man with a huge bounty on his head are just too great, creating the dark avenger of the night - Dusk.

The Spetacular Spider-Man # 256

The evil White Rabbit demanded ransom for their hostages, the go-gooders Grizzly and Gibbon from the city of New York.

Realizing the enourmous risks of becoming Spider-Man because of the bounty on his head, Peter Parker attempted the duo's rescue in the makeshift disguise of the bombastic Bag-Man!

Meanwhile, Mary Jane put together a costume for Peter that would give him yet another alternate identity to fight crime and protect innocents, the pulse pounding Prodigy!
