Emboldened by his recent victories over both Spider-Man and Mr. Fantastic, the revamped Trapster attempts to drag his old Frightful Four buddy, the reformed Sandman, back to the dark side of crime.

And when these two are on a citywide rampage, even the combined might of the web-slinger and the fabulous FF may not be enough to bring them down.

This is the third time the Trapster triumphs against Spidey. Besides, he brings the Sandman really back to the side of evil.

Spider-Man and the Morlock known as Marrow form an uneasy alliance to probe the underground horror preying upon the citizens of Manhattan.

The urgency for a solution to the crimes becomes personal for Peter Parker when fellow Daily Bugle photographer and friend Betty Brant disappears into the dark sewer tunnels.

They find Callisto, the former Morlock leader, as a prisioner of a new vampire menace. After a hard struggle, the vampire escapes, and the kidnapped citizens, includding Betty, are released.

Lurking in the background, the menacing Psycho-Man stands ready to seize control of the victor for his sinister purposes!
