• Ontario Minestry of Education Curriculum and Policy. contains a detailed set of K-12 standards.
• Putnam Valley Standards Site: everything on educational standards. This site may have gone away. May 26, 2001
• Precocious and Prodigious: a great gifted bulletin board with some home schooling banter.
• Talent search information. If you're interested in your young child taking the SAT, there are the options of the paper test and the computerized test.

• How Stuff Works: Homeschooling. This provides a nice description of home schooling suited for kids. The site in generally is pretty good for teaching kids and adults how all sorts of complex and not-so-complex things work.
• The Link, a free home school newspaper.
• misc.education.home-school.misc newsgroup using Altavista. misc.education is about general education.
• National Home Education Research Institute. Contains statistics, data and demographics.
• Practical Homeschooling: contains home schooling online articles.
• Homeschooling Resources. Contains publishers and distributors of books. Also has a list of places to purchase used materials. This used to be the Prodigy Homeschooling Resources page.

• The Well-Trained Mind: A Parents' Guide to Classical Education. They sell a book, they have a newsletter and a chat area. They have archives of their newsletter at their site which I have found useful for product reviews.

Bookstores

• The Book Cellar is the first home school store that we found when we moved here. They were in Milford but are now in Nashua. Link appears broken on May 26, 2001.
• John Holt's Bookstore is located in Cambridge, MA.They're more geared towards the unschooling approach and you may know them by their Growing Without Schooling magazine. They also do consultations and run an annual conference and are well-known in the home schooling community.
• NHHR Bookstore site carries a wide-selection though I don't know whether or not they have a physical store.

• Cho Educational Resource Center at Rivier College. A modern resource center in a fairly new building with a fair amount of materials.
• Educational Resource Center at Boston College. They have big books, magazines, software, manipulatives, childrens books, teacher education materials, curricular materials and more.
• Educational Resources Library at Boston University. A small ERC with older materials.
• Gutman Library at Harvard University. A huge library with lots of older materials. I haven't seen much of the library yet.
• Mason Library at Keene College. Apparently a school-to-work type of library from the notification that I received.

• College at Home, for the Glory of God, an article by John Thompson the Administrator of Grace Academy, a church-based homeschool assistance ministry in Walpole, New Hampshire.

• New Hampshire Department of Education website. I find that the state DOE site is not that helpful for home schoolers seeking information.
• The New Hampshire Homeschooling Coalition Evaluators page lists teachers (past or present) willing to do evaluations for home schooled children.

• Letter of Intent information from the DOE. This is a sample form providing basic Letter of Intent information.

• Part-time home schooling: RSA 193:1-a states that: Nonpublic or home educated, resident students shall be eligible to attend curricular, public school courses subject to local board policy.

• The Camp Family's Home Page. They appear to be NH home schoolers.
• Dartmouth College has a page that says that it is Homeschooler Friendly. Don't know if this is a trend or not.
• A full list of members of the New Hampshire Advisory Council is available at the DOE. The list is also available at Dimentech site. A description of the HEAC is also there.
• The Family Resource Center at the NH State Library has books on home schooling available to New Hampshire residents at their Homeschooling page.
• Logic Course (under construction) for Fall 2000 in the Nashua area. I didn't have the time to do this last year and will look again for time in the future.

• Merrimack, New Hampshire. This page has general information on Merrimack, New Hampshire and there isn't really much homeschooling information there although there are things to do in and around the town. Homeschooling is administered through Marge Chiafery's office. She is the Assistant Superintendent. She has an assistant, Sandy Swanson, who handles most matters (from my point of view). She now has an email address and I'm submitting our evaluation via email this year. The address hasn't been made public yet though so I won't post it here. The number of registered home school students in Merrimack as of 11/1/97 is 77. Sixty-eight use the district, 7 use approved non-public schools and 2 use the Commissioner of Education.
• New Hampshire College Donation Depot. Looks like a free educational materials exchange. The page specifically mentions home schooler elegibility.

• Teens Alive Ministries. They apparently have a homeschool skiing program at Attitash.

• Catholics United for Home Education. This is just a link page now.
• Christian Home Educators of New Hampshire. Contains information on getting started, support group contact information, legislative matters.
• Derry Area Homeschoolers Group Home Page from Christine Pollina. There is a lot of good New Hampshire home schooling information at this site in addition to information about their group. This link appears broken. May 26, 2001
• Kearsarge Mountain Homeschoolers in the Hopkinton, Contoocook, Warner, Bradford, New London area. Contact is Sondra Blake, rake@iamnow.net.
• Home Schooling Friends, a Seacoast New Hampshire based non-sectarian homeschooling support group. They have a list of scheduled activities along with links to other pages. There is a new chat area here too though it doesn't appear to be that active.
• Homeschooling Support Groups in New Hampshire from Jon's Homeschooling Site. Links page.
• Nashua Area Christian Homeschool Organization. They have a lot of activities in the Nashua area which are described at their site. They also have an email support list.
• New Hampshire Alliance for Home Education.
• New Hampshire Homeschooling Coalition. This group publishes a book with lots of useful information on New Hampshire home schooling including names and addresses of organizations curricular information and sample notification letters. Their webpage has a variety of information on New Hampshire homeschooling.

• NH homeschooled teens bulletin board, hosted by YAHOO.
• Raymond, NH Homeschooling Network. They will be up and running for the 2000-2001 year. The page appears to be a placeholder at the moment. (updated 3/28/00)

• A to Z Home's Cool New Hampshire Homeschooling site. The main site contains a lot of good general information too.
• New Hampshire Home Schooling information from The Mining Company. Contains legal information, associations, support groups and associations.
• New Hampshire Homeschooling Resources site run by the Watts. They host the New Hampshire home school mailing lists, legal information, Advisory Council Minutes and lots of other stuff.
