AMERICAN DREAM

I’m compelled to stay, this melody, such morose melancholy!

    It’s defiant of the season, it’s defiant of all reason, the flowers are in bloom!

Here showers have expanded ‘till they’ve become a steady deluge.

    Business is over before it’s begun, goodbye Autumn harvests they’re spoiled

by the untimely rains that destroyed the blossoms, driving their petals into the ground.

    American workers struggling with two lousy paying jobs, while the American dream

is garbage lying in the gutter under the grim visage of aging, wet, leprous buildings.

And, I’m waiting for the one

    who has stars in her eyes whose beams emit for me;

who’ll share such a world of wealth,

    where God is found everywhere, perched on a thousand leaves,

shining from the sun, and peering from fresh drops of dew –

    still, I’ll grasp hands emerging from man’s darkness,

and hope that greeting those familiar hands, voice and scrutinizing looks

I’ll meet your every need.

And, try to overcome those who give life away,

    inconstant as the face of the moon.

Did you happen to think, caught up in the whirl

    of busy meaningless activity, what was going on way down deep?

Did it provide scope to the new view that passed,

    in a parade of false smiles and contrived scenes

designed to beguile and win influence over you with their wiles?

Yes, now you stand before me in the airport,

    and all the false smiles and false hearts circle like sharks

trying to break our hearts and make the radiant beauty of the moon dead;

    night for them is filled with nothing but darkness and obscurity,

instead of a primeval ray of light illuminating our love, and,

    perhaps a little teardrop from the source of beauty itself.

Their souls travel through an eternity immersed in misery and shadow.

Those unfortunate foul souls, whose horrible presence

    hangs over our existence like the presence of death;

live lies devoid of dreams, and spitefully try to steal everyone else’s, too;

    they would scourge you to greater sorrows than their own.

Be as you are, innocent, loving and free!

    May your fate be settled so easily, where Truth is the unique ingredient to your Beauty.

Dark as our times are, still, their changes make things worse.

                        SOW

Bank accounts, slacks, shoes, shirts, cars, sculptures, fountains, parks,

prescriptions, fancy restraints, nice vacations in exotic locations,

museums, mountains, mists, concerts, libraries, trees, flowers,

benches, expensive homes overlooking the lake, forests,

beautiful women, the ocean, tea, chocolate, spas, grass, gardens,

French doors, fine furniture, wine, in short conspicuous consumption,

and yes, even Art and nature, fame and fortune....

will never be all that I love!

Are you aware, besides what’s playing on TV and the wide variety of services

provided on internet, of the somber and crepuscular events discretely concealed

and hypocritically covered in the radical right wing controlled propaganda machine:

the genocide that’s transpiring; while, vice and corruption run rampant without restraint,

by subsidiary tyrants; and, our Civil Rights are destroyed, by ill conceived legislation

like Homeland security and political measures, by a purchased majority, which serve

to repeal our checks and balances; and, when combined with phony foreign wars & contrived acts of terrorism, also distracts the public & provides a pretence to oppress

                                                                                                                        the nation.

My God, my God! if it were only all untrue; but,

it’s the season and the world is wonderfully delightful!

May the wind blow gentle and warm from the Southwest.

And, even time, which magically alters the size of our clothes,

must come to an end.  With horror I behold the crop that is sown!

Each year, every year, the grim reaper appears,

in plaintive refrain I’ll try to help the public take note.

                        INFORM THE PRESIDENT

Tell the Pres., who has risen to power, over a once great nation,

that great things have been previously said throughout the world:

In you the good citizens placed their faith in vain, and where they trustingly had hoped,

were deceived and shamed, like the tragedy’s parents who opened

the nursery door and found their precious baby dead and gone forever,

lying stillborn in the crib.

                        IMBUED IN SHADOWS

In the evening, when the colors have all melted,

and the obscure shape of every object is being imbued

with ominous growing shadows; I’m a non-entity

who should have been somebody else,

a distant relation who I vaguely know;

actually there’s a crowd of candidates

who huddle near by in blessed obscurity,

they resent illumination, as their faces

are resignedly turned toward the emptiness

that was the burning home of sunset.

I shall never meet their eyes shining like stars,

never see their features.

This is a strange land,

where I live in solitude;

but, I’d rather be one of those strangers,

living someplace else.

                        BROBDINGNAGS

Amazingly, our neighbors managed to grow

a great hulking swine; in Washington,

where I taught and learned and raised my family,

they kept their cunning secret secure –

It surreptitiously crept out of the local military basis,

where it formed from festering frustration, and into

the surrounding cities, first in hardship tours in Florida and Hawaii -

just as they had covertly kept that huge pig sequestered from the curious public.

However, each evening after work

night commended our inquisitiveness,

to embark on voyages of discovery, like Jason and Odysseus,

our own magical mystery tour;

over the bordering fence our gaze went

to the discretely hidden corner,

where we’d stare at the instrument of Adonis’ sad fate,

this gross mountain of bristling pink flesh;

buried beneath mud patch plasters,

this descendent of the monster who ravaged Calydon

was partially protected from the swarming scourge,

which settled about in great billowing black clouds of miniature biting Harpies.

This Brobdingnagian giant isn’t a cute cuddlesome stuffed animal,

or porcelain bank, or petite piglet, friend of Pooh, grinning in the garden,

or a plastic piece of ghastly kitsch cluttering the kitchen.

It stands in its stinking sty,

a blowzy ton of brooding boar,

who emits totally gross uncouth sounds,

as it ruts around the mire searching for provender;

its fantastically immense enough to have ancestors who treed Nestor,

a boar hoving in its pen, sucking sounds burst from a barren domain of mud hogdom;

a ruler mired in the darkness of its obscure wallow-realm.

The neighbor, greed driven owner of gluttony,

contemporary swine herder of so many fallen legends.

The caked mud, dried and cracked, falls off in large crumbling globs,

as slowly it moves its ponderous bulk; and grunts erupt

from its short dull snout, a protruding proboscis beneath appraising fat furrowed eyes,

mire smirched remnant of barnyards.

Inhabiter of grotesque tales,

a ravenous cannibal of unattended babies;

I feel a loathsome pity, and, repugnance descends in a palpable presence.

A filthy, massive monument on the move,

kitchen scraps and garbage,

stomaching no dissent,

it proceeds to ruthlessly rut through a sea of swill;

as it cross its world, a mud mired sty.

                        ORISON

I’m a freedom loving poet, put here by God.

    In this hall of time, I’ve a front row seat.

In Your universe my job is to speak Truth,

    and serve as society’s conscience, as I cultivate my craft;

otherwise my life is useless, to sing senseless songs,

    a vain cry of I echoing out of the darkness;

or, worse, a lie followed by brooding silence,

    at the dark sepulcher of midnight.

You have ordered that I should write,

    and stand before You and recite the fruit of my labor.

When the blue morning air rejoices with splendor

    and the golden sun springs up into the sky shedding earth

of her dark veil; the soporific alters of mountain snow lay

    beneath red flaming clouds reflected in the river’s mysterious smooth surface,

birds will sing their matins, to flowers and forests that fill the air with their fragrance,

    honor me Lord, by commanding my presence.

                        SO PALE

Silent and slow and so pale -

            almost glacial, she tentatively moves down the street.  So extremely pale and slow

groping along with her shadow of sorrow, she mumbles but will not wail;

            painfully empty blue sky above, dirty grey asphalt web below.

In her heart, broken by a weight to heavy to bear,

            the echo of distant farewells sound louder than her present grief;

and, so the hours pass for someone too good and delicate to thrive, where

            Autumn leaves piled in waiting pyres litter the gutters of the city streets,

and where, among layers of accumulated filth, bits of broken glass reflect like lost jewels.

And so, they become bitterly buried, shivering in the comfortless light;

            roughly swept aside, their tender reluctance briefly touching the still, chill, air;

while, in the gathering gloom, they’re engulfed by oblivion that doesn’t give a care,

            as shadows stretch Westward before the onslaught of Night.

                        EVENING DESCENDS

Evening descends: walking

among floundering shadows

it nudges the grieving light

as it limps along.  Tell me no lies.

I still love to string words

into sentences, image after image,

I follow their wandering path

through the barren plains of darkness.

For me the thrill

of lyrical phrases

is the carefully formulated perfection.

This isn’t a time for colloquies.

We live in a world

shored up with drivel and rough

half-finished phrases; all seems propitious,

a time when solitude

seems to be cracking.

I smash against their self-satisfied world,

like a moth against an unseen glass.

Beneath splendid soporific skies my complex mind merges,

Truth and clear intensity,

it puts disparate elements into previously unseen combinations.

Lunar reflecting rivers,

flow through shrubs, where houses

sleep more soundly than indistinct mountains;

stars peer inquisitively in at windows

veiled in dark opacity.

Emerald green islands float midstream

by paved barren runways and a rising phallus tower;

the teams that greedily hunted clouds,

with chains and whips and bounties

left me the prey;

naked and scarred and strapped against the mast,

to see and hear their secret songs-

the echoing

voices of the rocks and reefs.

Then, I float above the slumbering terrain,

on blue velvet heights:

wearily gazing down at the darkened world

worried that I might be pitched

into its devouring nothingness.

To have you near is bliss

that softens the sad laments

of their intervening lachrymose world,

and my lost time

as mist from the river rises and fills the ancient space

between the islands that I recall in vivid detail.

                        FLOWERS BLOSSOMED

Why must beauty be ethereal as a dream?

    for what’s fair completed and proud today,

will depart tomorrow; and, sad and mourning, be lost forever, and on its way.

    The eternal city, ancient Rome lies in ruins; its pomp and power had its day,

even though all roads lead to it, or so it seemed.

We fill the world with work and worry,

    souls here for an instant, some steadfast while others waver;

a caravansary of clouds scudding across the aching blue sky – I savor

    the brief passing of your precious face,

a beautiful bubble floating high over the waves of the human race, with its vainglorious

                                                                                                                    hurry and scurry.

A garlanded Kirshna dances while smiling mysteriously behind reality’s enigmatic mask.

    Before Buddha and Jesus, our hearts beat as one – fate,

alone the kind loving God sat and waited:

    for her, flowers blossomed in meadows and forest filled fertile space,

and rivers reflected shattered pieces of the sky, while flowing swiftly past.

                        HEALING

“The febrile Earth,” I quietly commented to the night,

is an embalmed corpse, whose crypt is the moon and stars.”

And with sleep weary eyes, I shut the window

reflecting a gold cross and silver Christ radiant in the black glass.

Yet, if it were only midnight, the reliquary sculpted in stone;

the hour brilliant with dragons and demons, when dryads drink the bliss of oblivion.

If only it were the serpent teeth of Cadmus

imprisoned behind the stonework, beating with bloody fists!

If only my father, stepping out and expanding to life size

from his modest metal picture frame would immerse his gauntlet pen in the script’s holy

                                                                                                                                    water.

But its my brother Judus who pierces my body and cauterizes my painful wound

by plunging his sizzling steel finger into its maelstrom, blistering white hot from the

                                                                                                                        fiery furnace.

                        SADISTIC BIGOTS

“Damned or redeemed, when you die,” hissed Mike in my ear on that night,

 you’ll have a spider web for a winding sheet, and I’ll burry the black widow with you!”

“Well at least I’ll be warm,” I replied, my eyes red from crying,

a scarlet cloud in the blue heaven where a gentle breeze from the sea will rock my soul.”

“Don’t bet on it,” sneered the evil right wing thug, “ you’ll be worm meat for annelids

that swim through flesh and surfaces after Sunset!”

Will you be happy,” I replied tears streaming down my face, “will you be happy

if I were sucked by leeches the size of a trunk of a Republican elephant?”

“Well,” he said, “take comfort; your shroud that I’ll be wrapping around you

like a mummy, will be made of diamond decorated silver snake skin.

And, from the quiet gloom of your crypt, where I’ll dangle you from your feet;

you’ll hear, as time goes by, the sound of small children viciously playing deceitful games that’ll teach them to be good little sadistic bigots filled with hate!”

                        INTERVENING NIGHT

You’ve heard the throbbing night,

    you have felt the filament unraveling from the heart,

in the sleepless hours, with mist filled spaces,

    cars rumbling down the troubled darkness,

in the vague echoing distances, where they took refuge.

You in intervening moments of mysterious silence,

    when the devastated ones are released from prison,

ripped open by a veiled alien presence,

    mists curling from the ceiling of their exposed inner beings,

in the dying day – how strange to be pressed into one superficial dimension.

                        CREATIVE MEASURE

I remember an ancient axiom,

God save us from well intending fools;

who presumptuously push their insipid mediocrity

uncomprehendingly forward blasphemously usurping other’s rights.

Honest and decent enemies we can handle,

but these sadistic types deceitfully plague our minds;

and laugh and smile while hypocritically lying as they fight dirty wallowing in the sewers

                                                                                                                     of their iniquity.

Misunderstanding that duplicitous cunning is not intelligence;

and that, Peter forswearing and Judas’ vile betrayal aren’t positive role models;

God alone sees in the inner recesses of the human heart.

Future generations will judge our hopes and dreams that spawn our successes,

while failures will be the measure of our secret fears.

What we create is ultimately up to God,

what we do with the time we’re given is up to us.

We treat our enemies, as we would treat our friends,

and know flattery teaches us nothing, its only vanity that gives it an ear.

Reputations based on false fame built by fawning sycophants

are useless for creating substantive works that stand the test of time.

What a shame to deny to others God’s gracious gifts that enhance an artist’s creativity,

like today when institutional author’s pens are for hire paying homage to today’s

censorship camouflaged as writing for the modern market.

RUMOR MILL

            All opinions expressed in this essay are the opinion of the editor of Mockingbird.

                        A DISSERTATION UPON PARTIES UPDATED

            To corrupt and divide are the axiomatic wicked expedients that contemporary politicians, in the pocket of right wing factional power, currently utilize in their efforts to dominate government; but, they are utilized particularly by mediocre individuals, not perceived as a threat, who’re picked by power because of loyalty rather than ability, and demonstrate the least capacity in exercising the true sciences of economics and government.  Unfortunately, there is a profound difference between the fine art of sound government and the sordid expedients of faction, the former benefit all classes of society when correctly employed, while the latter function as an injurious inferior substitute; and, consequentially the personal characteristics of the participants attracted to America’s respective political parties reflect the state of health of the political system and the respective parties, which is most obviously revealed in the political expedients used to govern.

            Every active and ambitious individual blessed by fortune, who is cursed with a corrupt nature, and becomes the willing servant to a group of investors that posses a large political war chest has all that’s necessary for the potential prospects of political success; however, these expedients are employed to realize factional objectives that are exploitive and not beneficial for the nation as a whole, but rather, further private objectives that are avaricious and corrupt and only benefit the ambitious politician’s group of supporters, usually at everyone else’s expense.  In today’s corrupt political environment, the prospect of future employment, or a bribe of undisclosed cash in the hand of the most incompetent technocrat that ever disgraced self-respect and the power that wealth represents, will accomplish as much as in the man of ability’s honest hands, and travel farther, too, if it is larger.  An intriguing right wing political prostitute may compromise a promising political career, like Sen. Hart and Sen. Packwood to only name two examples, as well as the machinations of any of Satin’s friends.  The radical right has made a career out of governing victoriously through the Republican Party by means of these degenerate ploys.

            But, not every person has the duplicitous skills necessary to attempt another expedient known in politics as damage control, which manipulates the media and keeps the political participant one step ahead of a story breaking in the media.  There is no need for any extraordinary talent to deceive; and, true wisdom despises the despicable task.  But, there is need for mediocre talent in that base ability called cunning that is today mistaken as intelligence. The fact is that neither duplicity nor cunning are adequate for good models of government, which actually develop policies and programs.  It requires genius and ability and those well worn practices in business, higher education and government called experience.  It is as true now as when it was first observed, the person corrupted co-operates with the person that corrupts.  They hurry into the arms of disgrace, usually without the invasion of privacy and psychological profiles that are commonly used today; and, those who hesitate do so in order to raise the going rate, but a word of caution for those who attempt such strategies, proceed carefully least it lead to their ruin by public exposure.  Just as in history’s numerous precedent examples, to displace public institutions, or to maintain a tyrannical system, or renew corruption in a state requires a system of coercion, seduction and fraud that’s commensurate to the situation.  The majority of duped citizens of contemporary Democracies are far from being accessories to the crimes being commissioned under the guise of government; however, it’s sorry to observe that it’s highly probable that they too would corrupt, if they weren’t already being deceived profitably for others.

            Current circumstances make corruption more expedient for right wing tyranny than subsidiary ploys designed to divide the nation.  The ploys at dividing the nation generally center around two strategies.  First, an effort is made to stage a contrived violent event, which is perpetrated to create a temporary crises so people emotionally react rather than rationally think; which in turn is designed to further the influence of the radical right’s local leaders, and/or their grass roots populist political movements, in their efforts at furthering their private factional objectives.  Second, it serves to corrupt members within the ethnic, racial, and religious communities, and fragments off a certain percentage of the opposition Democratic Party’s traditional legitimate voting constituency, who actually support policies beneficial to the minority communities’ inherent interests.  Remember, faction can only function at the expense of the greater common good, by exploiting resources and issues that otherwise would be developed in ways that benefit the majority of the community’s interests, sacrificing them for the faction’s narrow private benefit. This is why corruption succeeds so well and is preferred in pursuing factional objectives.

            Our nation was established championing the causes of truth, virtue, and liberty.  Historically, it has opposed the ignoble assertors of avarice and corruption pursued by all tyrants and their subsidiary tyrants enough to shame all open ignominious efforts advocating this type of guilt.  Today, we are afflicted by a duplicitous effort designed to deceive the public, with emotional pretences supposedly done for the sake of children, advocating irrational forfeiture of personal rights in actions which condition society to be oppressed.  The right wing dominated Republican Party advocates that society should give up its Civil Rights, and to further that highly suspect goal, it conspires to make the USA a terrorist target by invading Middle East areas rich in oil (that the Republican right wing supporters have subsequently stolen) which is done to make the nation feel under a state of siege.  Further, after over a decade of eroding our Civil Rights, it has finally gotten around to advocating government policies that privatize public entitlements like Medicare and Social Security, which financially benefit right wing factional groups in the insurance industry and investment banking that support the Republican Party, but hurt the vast majority of American citizens.  In a pattern as old as tyranny, this serves the special interests of the radical right faction, by making government’s primary function become making large amounts of money for a few number of Republican Party supporters.

During this period of time, the media has been transformed ‘till today it functions as a propaganda machine. However, it is not a propaganda machine of the nation but of right wing faction, which uses it to control the spin each news story the public receives.  The consequence is that our private citizens’ behaviors are shaped by two means; first, government dictates human behavior, by passing laws and statutes, and second, society shapes conduct to reflect the bigoted biases of the ruling elite by norms and morays, which are established by the entertainment industry in ways that further the interests of right wing faction.  After all what good is power if you can not make society over to reflect your personal prejudices.  The problem is that now we no longer have a nation based on Democratic ideals like Liberty and Equality and private property rights.  The society that unleashes fundamental inequalities on it self is yoked with tyranny and will suffer all the negative oppressive consequences that path entails.

Recently, the Democrats woke up to realize that with the recent Republican decades old domination of the three branches of government, the USA no longer is being protected by the checks and balances system.  Obviously this is a very serious problem.  We may flatter ourselves that those honest endeavors will have some positive effect; and, we have reason to hope that increased awareness will result in improved policies that reflect our nation’s historic Democratic ideals.  These hopes can be further confirmed by repeated declarations and the realization that a bi-carmel legislature must become reflective of a bi-party system in order to function properly.  And, a bi-party system is essential to models of good government that are designed to protect all of our USA citizens’ sacred Civil Rights and not just a programmed majority herd.  These hopes will be converted into reality whenever the wisdom of our nation’s political parties’ leaders raise new barriers of law against the new assaults utilizing technology on our nations Civil Rights and the accompanying encroaching vices and corruption that inevitably accompany domestic home grown forms of tyranny.

In the interim it best promotes the public interests to frequently remind it to be constantly vigilant against erosion of its hard earned liberties by domestic sources of tyranny, which are particularly insidious because of their persistence, and the fact that they’re always camouflaged under the best emotional laden pretences.  Unfortunately, inept artifices assiduously applied maintain existing forms in excessive military expenditures that have no legitimate objectives and hurt our government’s ability to govern; and, strive to create new corrupt programs like corporate welfare disguised in the form of private unaffordable health insurance and private retirement programs instead of fully funded Medicare and a public Social Security program, which provides the primary source of income for 75% of America’s Sr. citizens and provides a solid foundation of future consumer demand for American companies’ goods and services, and serve as a ballast for the US and global economies – all three are compelling reasons which make public funded Social Security a solid investment, indeed!

Our fore fathers fought against the abuses of power brought on by faction, in an attempt to promote happiness by means of personal freedom.  Are we going to be the inept generation that let the light expire on the torch of liberty, in a new era of avaricious ignorance?  The nation is not only manufactured into an ill advised conformity of opinion concerning present forms of oppression and prejudice; but, we are fraudulently deceived about the current government practices, which the most blind optimist could scarcely support, without being completely immersed in ignorance.  Certain time proven ideals about Democratic government, private property and personal freedom were so ingrained in the American society that ‘till the conclusion of WWII we never would’ve conceived, let alone been induced, to believe that a few decades more would destroy them, and we would see inferior extremist’s tyrannical notions about the function of government being a means of making large amounts of wealth for a few lucky individuals at everyone else’s expense; and, parties that were purchased by the highest bidder, like during the destruction of the Roman Republic, when the Roman Empire was established in stead, which continued to function in diminished form like a corpse growing hair and nails.

The majestic high ideals that power belonged to the people, who were protected from domestic forms of abuse by separation of power between branches of government; and, the people were protected further still by dividing it between the federal government and state governments, which were combined with great ideas about Equality, Liberty and Egalitarian Safeguards that served to protect property and privacy and the fundamental notion that people controlled their own lives - to the all important point that it did not directly interfere with the next persons.  The fact that these ideas were so highly regarded that we recognized them as being descended from no less a divinely inspired source as God indicates the importance with which they were held.

But, now after two decades of intensive effort, with the entire media and entertainment industries functioning in concert as a massive propaganda machine, these beliefs are broken.  The distinct sets of ideas are reorganized and the radical right extremist elements are now forcing themselves and their self-serving “new” old fashioned tyrannical arraignments on the public, like a yoke on a beast of burden.  Remember, the eternal relationship between robbing society of its rights before tyranny robs it of its wealth, which works on an individual level, too.  History has shown that a society’s Civil Rights have never been lost without a tyrant subsequently ending up with their hand in the public’s pocket.  And, in America circumstances have now degenerated to the point where it’s absurd to impute to the radical right dominated Republican Party the principles which were its point of origin with Lincoln and were pro-freedom, conservatively pro-Democratic and pro-business, too, instead of for faction, extremism, and subordination.  The nation is not only subjugated into a mindless sycophancy about the roles of government and the people; but, we no longer understand the fundamentals of good Democratic government, and what Equality and Liberty mean in terms of appropriate conduct by citizens, who employ sadistic and coercive measures to deal with healthy dissent, and perversion, seduction and extortion in attacking targeted unpopular minority groups, who’re stripped of their Civil Rights.  Certain associations of ideas were ingrained in America’s beliefs for over a century and a half, and, became the basis of a tolerant society that were the leaders of a freedom loving world, with a level of prosperity that was the envy of every nation on the face of the earth.  Who would have thought that in a couple of short decades the USA would sink into a despotism that would witness the classic pattern of tyranny – lost personal rights followed by lost wealth, with a plummeting standard of living no longer in the top 15 in the world.  In a nation where you can be stopped and stripped searched, while driving down the street; or, flying on an airplane be stripped naked and searched, while having all your bags broken into.  Two decades ago, homes that were annually broken into and searched by paid squads of private people are now regularly scrutinized by invasive techniques that utilize spy technologies developed during the Cold War that make walls invisible.  Also, housebreaking is no longer viewed as necessary, after the radical right replaced local dealers, in hostile takeover operations that extended the radical right international drug trade monopolies and integrated them with the local drug traffic networks.  The systemic corruption that accompanied the changes in these operations was reflected by the fact that government repealed laws that confiscated dealers’ personal property, who if by mistake the right wing dealers happened to get busted, no longer confronted the risk of loosing all of their property accumulated from engaging in the drug trade.  And, then, citizens were easily identified, and if not busted for bounties, they were subject to operations that included extortion, coercion, and sadistic torture.  In other ordinary operations targeted people were perverted, subliminally predisposed and then induced to commit felonies that included rape, child abuse and murder.  Today, this vile system of organized crime continues to thrive, with private citizens being set up for reasons that no longer have anything to do with drug use and which include political dissent and the personal dislikes of the radical right subordinate tyrants, as career criminals for pleasure and profit engage in what can only be correctly characterized as immoral-criminal behavior in systemically corrupt political acts of terrorism.

Democracy is dead and Civil Rights are replaced by a system of privileges that are subordinated to the bigoted bias of tyranny.  How this change to moral bankruptcy transpired in an age of constricting wealth and bifurcating society, when most other things worsened as well; and, since it has been established around two pretenses that are recreational drug use and terrorist attacks justifies close scrutiny, and an analysis of what Democracy constitutes in contemporary society.  Today, in America, one merely observes the radical right’s subsidiary tyrants and realizes that this nation’s society is no longer based on Equality, Liberty and Egalitarian Safeguards; those ideals have been replaced by a double standard one for the radical right’s career criminals (which include drug dealers, murders, rapists, perverters, male, female and child prostitutes and assorted slanders, thugs and thieves) and another for the rest of Americans.  The core values of Democracy in spite of working well for over 150 years are currently viewed as unrealistic and chimerical and those dissidents who advocate a return to them are systematically attacked with all the power and technologies that are available, as potential (you are either with us or against us) threats to their sacrosanct system with its privileged positions.  If the radical right organization is in place and operational, as it seems to be, and influencing every USA citizen, and citizens in many other nations, too; then, people no longer determine for themselves, where and how they can live; and, if people are not free to live their lives according to ways which seem reasonable , promote their prosperity, and make themselves happy; and, if the majority manipulated by the radical right extremist faction disagree and prevent citizens, by measures that are sadistic, immoral and extremely injurious, which no individual of average intelligence, whose not obviously corrupt, and honest can deny.  Then, it is undoubtedly the duty of every decent person, who desires wide spread prosperity for their fellow citizens in stead of only for a few, and freedom for everyone including unpopular minorities, to strive to increase public awareness of this critical problem and improve the situation, which will make this nation safer, more prosperous, and more free – thus a happier place to live in and better place to bring up a family.  If we are to be judged by our works, the works of those who further this immoral-criminal state of affairs engage in self-serving, self-delusional behaviors.  Wicked and foolish people!  Who seek their private benefit by opposing the fundamental principles of Democracy that result in the public good.  Weak folk devoid of judgment!  Who futilely pretend that they are the country and the country only constitutes one extremist faction.  They are extreme because they refuse to accept any view but their own, when God made mankind to always have diverse views on any subject, in a brilliant strategy that optimizes the species probability to survive in any set of circumstances.  These unhappy people delude themselves into a belief that all who disagree, like those who have lived before, or those who will live in the future, are wrong; and, only they can ever possibly be right, and the rest of humanity is wrong – throughout human history!  And, if that weren’t arrogant enough for you, if you don’t agree with them, then, you can’t be good, law abiding, respectful of others rights, a proponent of Democracy, Christian, and for children: who do they think will believe such a notion?  And, how can any progress ever be made, if they already know everything?

There is no complaint so consistent, before the public, no grief afflicted good moderate mankind so severely, than those extreme elements whose faction rose over the rest of society, and afflicted society by means of tyranny of a manipulated majority.  This special American and Russian form of tyranny was first noted by the famous world traveler Tocqueville, it inspires hatred and breeds persecution which has so often destroyed domestic tranquility, weakened our nation, and impugned our reputation abroad.  Its time for all people who want to be perceived as good and decent, and who want to live freely in peace and prosperity with the glory of America re-affirmed, by the only means by which it can be effectively obtained, through a reassertion of our Democratic ideals and institutions, to actively speak out in opposition to this degenerate state of affairs.

Let it begin by un-alienating and re-enfranchising our presently persecuted minorities.  Let the bi-carmel Legislature be split between parties.  Let there be meaningful campaign reform, with realistic spending caps for public office that take government office out of the hands of money and places it back into the hands of the public.  Then, government will be by all the people and represent all the people once again.  Those practices by which the radical right has terrorized and oppressed the public these last many years must be stopped.  Those practices are designed to hinder the full expression of Civil Rights, and, amazingly those same practices stupidly conspire to create a brainless scenario, which financially benefit private parties for causing immoral-criminal acts to occur: they corruptly cause our communities to be less safe by artificially elevating certain types of high profile crimes for propaganda purposes, these practices must be terminated!  Far from afflicting society with new difficulties, even those genocidal efforts dealing with people reported to be engaging in injurious recreational behavior that in times past have resulted in ill advised anti-Democratic policies that caused serious social problems, acknowledge the error of criminally treating those recreational behaviors; and, learn from our past mistakes and present errors resulting in systemic vice and corruption caused by organizing society based on fundamental inequalities due to subordination, and repeal present efforts at criminal intervention that utilize anachronistic prohibitions that generate grievous problems, like various forms of organized crime.  The axiom of good government, that government is best which governs least, pertains to intrusions into the private lives of people pursuing happiness and not legislation designed to successfully ameliorate the negative externalities of market driven economies.  Society should not be managed by autocratic punitive means, but by realizing power abuse is our greatest danger; because, power can only be used negatively to compel behavior people wouldn’t engage in by their own free will.  Our forefathers had the right idea, in trying to protect people from the abuse of power; power should be carefully partitioned, when it isn’t being employed equally as laws to protect people’s property rights and Liberty.  Society should wisely remove popular prejudices from public policies and should follow policies consistent with Democratic ideals, because popular prejudices change with time and provide pretences to attack and erode our Civil Rights which always end in tyranny, while Democratic principles don’t; and, we should follow positive experiences that result in revenue generating policies that medically manage rather than punitively dictate.  We’ve observed what happens to a society that pursues subordination instead of Equality, tyranny establishes itself with avarice and corruption following in its wake.  Objective individuals candidly observe that indulgence will accomplish what severity couldn’t reasonably without destroying Democracy, its public and private institutions, and burdening society with pernicious organized crime and abhorrent social norms and morays that have included slander, coercion, extortion, arson, burglary, sadistic torture, rape, child abuse, prostitution, adultery, perversion and murder.  If I were a dissenter and/or a member of a minority I would rather experience a return to Democratic ideals, where everyone’s right’s were respected; rather than, return to the previous dubious situation, where illegalities resulted in widespread vice and corruption which is largely ignored.  Besides, abuses of personal freedom never impact society as seriously as abuses of power.  Contemporary issues must employ policies that respect Democratic ideals and principles, or society will be afflicted with tyranny’s negative consequences.

America stands in need of a reform.  However, tyranny once habituated to exercising power by subordinating other’s rights to their opinions becomes addicted to it, and never voluntarily relinquishes superimposing their will on others, even though it can clearly be proven to have disastrous negative effects on society and a corrupting and degenerative effect personally.  In spite of this unfortunate state of affairs, reform must not be obtained by force.  The resurrection of Democracy and the happy consequences contingent on that sunny event must be obtained by mutual good will.  And, while it is true, force can impose the superior power of a majority on society, surreptitiously and deceitfully manipulated behind the scenes by and for the benefit of faction.  Societies’ recent collective experience has now conclusively shown that these arraignments result in such all pervading negative consequences economically, politically, and socially that they overwhelm any potential temporary positive benefits obtained.  Historic problems of tyranny revive, the radical right wing faction’s political surrogate the Republican Party’s continued dominance will, as stated, place our checks and balance system in grave danger; and, the assault on our personal freedom, which form the foundation of our nation’s private property rights, prosperity, and Liberty which previously have lain quietly secure, will be subject to removal under an illusory pretence of transpiring for the sake of public safety.  Recently, Republicans and Democrats have frequently disagreed on the role of government in public policies.  But, there is no better way to proceed than to agree that everyone benefits from good models of government.  Further, the Republican Party deliberately spends the US government into a position that is impaired in its ability to conduct its business.  How can a government so burdened with debt from needless foreign entanglements afford to first adequately educate all of its children, and then develop public vocational programs, to facilitate the full employment that result in safe and prosperous communities.  Further, massive amounts of debt impairs governments ability to provide programs to meet public expectations of good models of government, like infrastructure, affordable public health for all citizens, and housing for those who need it, and help with heating homes, or research and development of other sources of energy.  The list is extensive and the need is great, but the Republicans sit and do nothing but spend our money on phony foreign wars that squander our money and line the pockets of the industrial military, needlessly.  It’s now being suggested in some quarters that the radical right is using its influence with mid-east terrorists to increase the blood bath in Iraq to eliminate non-corrupt officials in efforts designed to fatigue Iraq out of their on going efforts towards independence, which also provides Republicans with an excuse to extend the USA military presence.  How corrupt does it get?  The first order of business between various parties of honest people is to agree in principle, if not they will never agree on anything else.  But, once we agree on re-establishing the basic principles of Democracy, the two parties will agree on other issues as well, or they will respecting each others’ rights, make each other easy by being people of good will, which they will demonstrate by honest words and truthful actions.  Let me point out an obvious truth.  Self-interest behooves a person to do so, whose means are honorable.

In our political parties primarily comprising two parties, because the radical right currently finds it expedient to be duplicitous and use minor parties to further specific parts of their private political agenda.  We have openly embraced an adversarial political system where the winner takes all and parties align themselves to economic interests and make no excuse for doing it.  They’ve united with those they agree with and oppose those that they differed in principles of government.  And, as long as economic power remained in a broad balance, the system functioned adequately.  The parties didn’t follow power, ‘till after the Kennedy coup, when the radical right wanted the profits generated by a war time economy and so started the land war in Southeast Asia, now named the Vietnam War, which was the last colonial war.  Then, the industrial-military began to act like a faction, who pursued policies and economic interests independent and distinct form the broad base of the whole nation.  The right wing faction still concurred in principle with Democratic ideals, and there was no split between polarized political parties.  The chief distinction between parties arose from the fact that the Democratic Party’s constituency also embraced organized labor, which broadened it to encompass all aspects of business.  But, this uniformity between political parties no longer exists.  The current Republican Party view is designed to overwhelm the system with money, and advantages obtained by purchasing pre-dominance in the media, and it has resulted in pursuing objectionable factional goals, like sacrificing Medicare and Social Security to avaricious private interests that will destabilize the negative phase of the business cycle.  In contrast, the Democratic Party still steadfastly adheres to a system that represents people rather than special interests, and in the case of public entitlements they support a public controlled system for Medicare and Social Security, one that’s dedicated to serving people rather than the short term profits of right wing factional special interests, and which stabilizes the nations economy by providing a foundation of demand for our country’s economy to build on.

The issue dividing the Republican and Democratic Parties is one of fundamental principle.  How one perceives government.  The Republicans now view government as a multi-million dollar investment, which is designed to make their dominant radical right wing faction a large amount of money by tyrannically exploiting the public.  The Democrats view of government, while having to respond to the right wing factional onslaught of money and control of the media, still support pro-business economic interests that are broad based and inclusive in nature. The Republican’s model of government is by factional special interests for factional special interests, the Democratic Party’s view of government is by all the people for all the people, which pursues policies beneficial to the entire nation and that develop and manage the economy, rather than exploit it like the Republican model.  What must be resolved is which view will rise to ascendancy.  Currently the Republican view dominates government and we have phony foreign wars, the world’s largest debt and the largest trade deficit in history and domestically we’ve an economy divorced from the lives of the people with any positive developments not noticed by the general public, whose standard of living continues plummeting while the middle class becomes an endangered species.  The Republican’s exploitive policies ravage the economy.  Witness the recent Morningstar report who reports on the economy in glowing terms, an economy whose only life is in heavy industry, huge agricultural industry and oil.  Translated that means industrial-military spending resulting from a needless phony war, which is benefiting from government spending in economic patterns that benefit the fewest possible Americans.  Also, the huge Agricultural business investments means shrinking competition in the domestic food markets and higher prices for food in the grocery stores to Americans now and in the future, who are being assaulted by more rounds of stagflation.  Finally, all this means soft to impaired consumer demand and impaired government spending because of the debt, which will keep interest rates artificially high and impair marginal rates of return on Capitol investments.  These negative consequences to the nation, following right wing Republican Party factional policy, contrasted to the Democratic policies of prosperity as witnessed by Pres. Clinton’s terms in office, and hopefully policies of freedom, are easy to distinguish, for it is between these two powers that the present contest lies.  The media which is dominated by the radical right wing faction, obscures the clear division of the conduct of the respective participants and their respective consequences, which otherwise would be impossible to hide and deny.  The Republican Party’s exploitive policies of tyranny have overwhelmed the inherent self-correcting mechanisms contained in the business cycle.

What is necessary is for our own right wing faction to become enlightened to where its true interests lie and to be instructed about the appropriate role of government in models of good government.  Or, time will prove, in this case to the entire global community, what happens when factional avarice and corruption takes over a Democracy, by manipulating the majority, and mistakenly confusing its interests with that of the nation.  The people who oppose these deceitful tyrannical machinations, will merit the sincere thanks, for trying to educate and enlighten the country into following proven policies beneficial to the entire nation, which are due from their good and grateful fellow citizens.

As to the great national schism, the radical right wing faction and its political pawn The Republican Party, and the Democrats; those people of good will who recognize the erosion of Civil Rights and eclipse of the checks and balance system in government and the legislation that passes like excrement from extreme faction controlled Congress, can differ very little in their opinion from the points made concerning it.  The political creed of the Democratic Party is made manifest in its stand on a variety of issues including protecting public safety and private property, fully funded public owned Medicare and Social Security programs, and equal adequate education opportunities.  If one were to present the public with an honest presentation, for in the last two elections the Republican Party spent 100s of millions of dollars doing nothing but publicly lying,  (if you doubt the dominance of the radical right wing faction over the media, why wasn’t there a voice raised in outrage observing that unfortunate fact during either election) there would be present among us at this time very few dissidents from solid policies supporting Democratic ideals expressed in the Constitution.  How different it is for the side of faction, will be blatantly obvious not only from a truthful look at their actions, but from the principles of the right wing dominated Republican Party, as we find them arrogantly expressed from time to time in the media, when they’re not busy lying.  The fact is the radical right wing faction pursues principles dangerous to Liberty, and our nation’s prosperity, though often not directly, as in the mid-east wars, which attack Medicare, and Social Security and Homeland security which erodes our Civil Rights.

In short, the Republican revolution is perceived as a new era, but the goals and objectives are as old as tyranny, and undermine our nations Equality, Egalitarian Safeguards, and Liberty, which form the foundation of our nations Democracy.  From the last two fraudulent elections we must view a new measure of submission, and new domination developing.  Government is one of avarice and corruption, which is designed to repay campaign contributions with a conduit from the public’s pocket to a few very wealthy private accounts.  We no longer have Civil Rights guaranteed by the Constitution, but a vague system of privileges based on the personal opinions of the persons who wield huge amounts of unchecked unrestrained power.  From this nadir point, where vice openly attacks virtue for exposing tyranny’s self-serving self-delusions, we must identify how good models of Democracy benefit both parties.  We must educate our factional oppressors how they personally benefit from Democratic principles, too.  In fact we bring the system back under control by the people, before the injurious actions that tyranny brought on with their revolution; and, whatever lack of principles the Republican Party may have demonstrated, they will eventually realize that they benefit from the sound principles of good government, too.  Or, acting on no principles they’ll sink under the weight of vice and corruption their unchecked system of tyranny generates, which preceding issues have documented and discussed at some length.

To the US Constitution and principles of Democratic government let us unswervingly adhere, in opposition to the extremist revolution rampant in America today.  And, let us educate those who’ve disowned them and those who’ve betrayed them relying on new technologies, which transformed into old fashioned tyranny conducted by individuals of mediocre ability who couldn’t comprehend what was transpiring, and attempted to shackle the nation with false laws for false reasons, which were forged ages before the US system of tyranny’s present revolution.  A system used to camouflage the poor abilities of mediocre minds that have blindly bungled themselves into a corner and have no idea how they got there and how to proceed in order to extricate them selves.  As little as possible let us suffer the negative consequences of their sly measures based on deceit so that corrupt people could more easily cheat, extort and coerce their fellow citizens.  And, retain preferential positions of privilege at all others expense.  Or, continue programs of organized crime that pervert, prostitute and abuse children while they slip new shackles on us, which are acts inconsistent with the Constitution and Democratic principles of good government based on reason and freedom – even for the minorities we disagree with.  Let’s protect the rights of others as we would have our rights protected, which our public institutions were designed to do in the first place.  Let’s maintain what remains and repair the damage that’s already been done to the nation, which had such a happy start, due to the judgment of men of genius and good will which are fore fathers were; and, thank God for the blessings inherent in Democracy that’s not dysfunctional, which the US has become under the radical right Republican revolution.  Let’s establish a coalition in this country, because one was never more needed than at this critical crises; for this will determine whether those good people, who not only oppose the cancerous growth of the growing corruption which has spread practically over all the land, and strive to expunge it to the roots, will prevail; or, whether those who support and propagate it, who devour themselves, and seduce others to eat the pernicious fruit that it bears.

This will determine whether they’ll prevail who bankrupt the country, and impair our ability to perform the wide variety of functions that good government entails, as it strives to meet the needs of its citizens, in a way agreeable to sound principles of Democracy; or, the right wing extremist faction who deceive the public with privatizing plans and foreign entanglements that transform the function of government into a means of making money for a very wealthy few, though injurious to our Constitution and increasingly incompatible with public Liberty.  This will determine whether they’ll prevail, who manufacture majority opinion to accept their frauds and coercion, which are practiced to everyone else’s detriment; and, if we continue down the slippery slope of tyranny and continue to protect the fraudulent, at the risk of destabilizing the world’s financial markets and instituting a system that destroys the prosperity of 80% so that the other 20% live well, as wealth constricts into the hands of a select few.  This will determine whether the radical right faction prevails, instead of the USA re-attaining an appropriate reserve and prosperous peace in foreign affairs, and specifically how they’re developed and applied toward the endless entanglements of the Middle-East, which better meet the USA’s current financial straights and future obligations, by fiscally conservative means that balance the budget gradually over time without shocks to either our government, or the economy.  This will determine if the radical right extremists prevail, who pull the Republican Party strings and who are eager, on every occasion to exploit and prostrate our nation’s honor and pawn her purse, and sacrifice her citizens well being for their luxury; and, the country’s safety, by penalizing their faction’s competitors even in the USA’s industrial-military (Boeing) to give an unfair competitive advantage to their foreign company (Airbus) which competes with the American corporation in the trade for private commercial airplanes.  They entangled the USA in foreign wars, to gain revenues from currently controlling OPEC oil reserves which they hope to continue by influence over the Iraq government in the future.  These duplicitous operations sacrifice the USA economy for the radical right faction’s expensive foreign wars, which bleeds our nation and distracts the public with the specter of expensive foreign wars in exotic locations, while at home in the USA they steal health insurance from 10 million more Americans, and retirement from our Senior citizens by private plans that are deceitfully designed to bankrupt the Social Security system.  Now, by mugging the political system with money and buying all branches of government, they effectively eliminate our checks and balance system, which leaves American citizens now more than ever isolated and exposed to abuses of power that strip Americans’ of freedoms and rights that was the progress of centuries and the product of  the hard work of our forefathers.  Freedoms and rights which were our national birthright as Americans, which was given to us from our forefather only to be lost by us in this stupid age and, which should have been our heritage to our children and their children, too.
