Lady of the Lake
LadyoftheLake
I want for you to love me, whether for a day, a month, a year, As I love you, I've told you so, I'm on one path, won't stray, A love in truth, lies are no use, the worst those to yourself, If you've feelings, please say; don't leave them on the shelf. So to build with you a love and trust, what more can I say, I have said 'you're the one I love' sure as night follows day, My path is with you, until the end, and I will not stray, That way we can build a trust, I love you, hear me pray. Think back to the love we had, and the love we have shared, The feelings of warmth of life anew, we truly were a pair, Nothings changed believe me; we have played our cards to see, We know there's hurt that can befall, until they're felt be free. Let us regain what we had before, see what fate has in store, Trust in me as I trust in you, then let your feelings pour, Be true to me as I'm true to you, you know happiness is the door, The only place you will be locked is in my heart for evermore. So when we are together, the times is to be happy, never sad, When you listen, hear things good, be deaf to all things bad, Learn again how to say "I love you" as in the past you could, Live for now, love for now, be happy now, you really should. Let's then adapt a motto, and then live it hand in glove, "It is better to have and lost, than to have never loved", I can like other people, but it is only you that I love, Please be true to me, be it forever or until understood.
