The sign of the Prophet or Teacher
"This is MOON Talk"
Moon is mood. The Moon's mysterious, lunar influence on the moods and emotions of mankind is as real as the power with which it causes the tides of the ocean to flow in and out. The Moon rules nostalgia, melancholy, compassion, love. It reflex and effects inner feelings; tender emotions, sadness, joy, sentiment, depression. It stirs romance, endears love, kindles passion and stimulates song and dance.
Venus and Mars are the chief purveyors of love, passion, romance and dance, but the Moon being the closes offshoot of the Sun to mother earth, makes the moods immediate, intimate, personal and deeply impressionable to most signs. The Crab, however, bears the full forces of these activity directly, swishing from wave to wave with little voluntary say - totally at the mercy of the Moon, completely susceptible as its lunar influences imprint their lasting memories of deep sensation on this sign.
The Rumba and Bolero with their deep elements of intense passion, romantic gesture, love and sensuality; the gazing, glinting eye contact, the holding of a hip move, the crescendo into and out of a turn and a moment of intimate embrace, all symbolise the aesthetic beauty and charm of the Moon's forces portrayed through dance - the phenomenon of procreation.
HA! HA! HA! HEE! HEE! HA! HEE! HEE! and a tiny, weenie hee! hee! ha! you may hear when first encountering the 4th sign of the Zodiac; known in astronomical argot as "the crazy Crab's lunar laugh." And it is inescapably contagious as the sounds run up and down the scales with a deep, throaty undertone… a giggle here and a guffaw there, then finally erupts in a loud cackle that articulates the sound of three hundred hens, each laying the golden egg of glory.
Moonlight becomes them beautifully - werewolves by night and appetizing humans by day. It matches their multiple moods, and goes with their ever-changing emotional flux and flirtatious feelings. Notice how the moon's shape and appearance modulates. As it fades and brightens in light, it slowly develops into a perfect, round ball in the sky. Then it dwindles, and gradually disappears, so there's nothing visible but a thin snippet of light with a faint, silver shimmer… aaaahoooooooo!
The Crab's passing moods are in intimate tune with the Moon, answering to the same mysterious lunar influence that causes the tides of the ocean to flow in and out. Yet, the Moon does not change, it only seems to. Likewise, the Cancerian remains the same person through all the fluctuating highs and lows. Although the classical Viennese Waltz typifies this variation in pitch perfectly, as it tones elegantly from quiet sublime to hectic crescendo, Bolero mood, however, is the dance better suited to the Crab.
The male and female Crab feel happier at home - true lovers of domesticity. They prefer their cosy, comfy abode where they can relax and feel properly sheltered and they want things to stay as they are; making them unreceptive to change of any sort. Adaptable is a jhig word to these moonilonian creatures. When visiting others or going to unfamiliar places, they become reticent and are mostly talk-shy at parties. In the comfort of their own homes, however, our moonlighters blossom and bloom loquaciously.
This sign sticks by the rules, whatever the game. They would never think of going against an established grain; conventional and moderate in almost all things. In a way, they hog the old-fashioned, like, "tail coats in Ballroom must stay", "cars aren't made the way they used to be", "down with computers", etc. In spite of this, the Crab is interested in new things and wants to keep up with the times. Another side to their character is that they seldom forget - elephant brains, and love recalling details from the past, because the future fills him with feelings of fear. Their philosophy for the future is, "where there is mass there is menace and the masses are multiplying by the millions each year. without a beanstalk we're all in trouble"
These Dancers don't yearn for the spotlight with the same extrovertion as our Leo or Sagittarius friends, but have an uncanny sense of publicity, i.e. when it suits them to brag. Don't let that unassuming manner dupe you. Secretly, Crabs crave attention, and they'll soak up any limelight they can pilfer with a Cha-Cha or Mambo demo.
In spite of their willingness to help others, these lunar mooners may seem difficult to approach by those not well acquainted with the Crab character. On the whole, they seem rather subdued and reserved. Others may feel there is a wall between them and the Cancerian while this may not be the case at all. Dancers born under this sign are careful not to let others hurt them; they have learned through hard experience that protection of some sort is necessary to get along in life. Any other sign that is able to get beyond this "distant" barrier and win their confidence, will find them warm and loving.
Cancer & Scorpio in…
LOVE: Is chaotic. Affections are pale, emotions thin. The peaks are shallow, it's just tinsel. Impulse propels, recklessness adds to the speed, and lack of direction takes this one too far out. There are multiple commitments, entanglements. The Crab is too loose, the Scorpion too wild, too erratic. Love is just waffle. It's all superficial, all uncontrolled, ill-fated. There is noise without sound.
PASSION: Is traumatic. Repressed energies are expelled. This one serves to indulge, to entertain, to ingratiate. There is an outpouring, a sporting combination. Nothing is undone, nothing withheld - but it's all hyper, all confused. Physical exchange is pursuit of fantasy - will get hurt. Cancer needs Taurus in romance, love and passion for inner peace, to flourish and for eternal growth.
Dance: is exciting. A Scorpio partner is superb unity, there's precision and control - gels well, an affinity. Rhythm roars with intuition, naturalness and spontaneity. Movement flows slickly, actions fit like WOW! Style and panache exude, explode - a perfect joining. Tango! another typical Cancerian dance, erupts into symphonic beauty, staccato strength, crab-like progression, dramatic effect… total shape & rapport - a blissful journey of movement, two-getherness" and a deep sense of excitement for the soul and body - poetic prancing at its prettiest.
With every Crab comes a claw, and within every werewolf a fang or four - give us a hug, a love-bite and one Aaaahooooooo for turning ANOTHER year OLDER. We come into this world shrivelled and blue and go out blue and shrivelled. To stay young, fresh, fiery, frisky and UNSHRIVELED, dance, dance, dance to your heart's content.
To the hairy-faced fellows and fluffy floozies romping this earth, HAVE A GREAT DANCING YEAR. And remember, a birthday is the first and next day of the rest of your ageing life... what you do with the remains depends on the decisions you make. If you think failure you'll get failure. If think success you'll get success.
