Dorenda and Me on Mothers Day

Dorenda

We are so very lucky to have a kid like you,
You have given us so much joy in everything you do.
Can't believe its been thirty-one years, since God gave you to us,
You were so very cute and sweet, but oh!,how you could fuss.
We loved you and raised you the best that we knew how,
It seems we all have learned a lot, from back then 'till now.
Times were hard and money was scarce, but you never seemed to mind,
You ate the food we gave you and wore what you could find.
Now you're all grown up with children of your own,
And now I know you understand why Mommies sometimes moan.
So when you feel like giving up and pulling out your hair,
Just remember, there is an end and all too soon, you'll be there.
Those little girls will run away with some good-looking lad
And you will set and wonder, am I happy or am I sad?
Enjoy each day as it is, don't worry when theres no need,
God looks out for Mommies who sow happy seed.
Be happy, my little one, because thats what you are to me
And it will be that way baby, Until you're seventy-two
And I'm ninty three!
*Love, Mom*
