You might be wondering what a Yooper is. Technically, it's anyone who lives here in the U.P. of Michigan. That's the Upper Peninsula. It also extends to anyone who was born here, has moved away, but who's heart is still here. It's an area with a lot of beautiful scenery, and a full range of seasonal variety. I live on the Keweenaw Peninsula, that arm of the U.P. sticking out into Lake Superior. We experience all four seasons here. Unfortunately, winter is the longest. |
