Who Made The Crown Of Thorns?

Who made the crown of thorns
My Lord wore to Calvary?
Whose thorns pierced His brow
And made His blood flow free?

I know, I know who made that crown!
It was the Scribes, the Pharisees,
The Roman judge, the Jewish mob.
I wasn't there. No one can blame me.

But when I look at His crown,
What are the thorns I see?
Indifference and selfishness,
Disbelief and hypocrisy.

Do I make another crown
For Christ to wear to that cruel tree?
Do I turn away, O God,
From the task You have given to me?

Help me to search my heart,
Dear Lord, and see what I should see.
Help me destroy the thorns
That come between You and me.

He Lives Again

The shadows fell,
The nights were long,
His friends had seen Him die.

His body bled,
The tomb was sealed,
The sabbath Day was nigh.

No work was done,
They had to wait,
'Til the dawning of the day.

The spices fixed,
The women came,
To roll the stone away.

To their surprise,
The stone was moved,
An angel sat upon.

"He's not here,"
The angel said,
"Before you He is gone."

"You go forth,
Tell all His friends,
Don't fear and don't be sad."

"He lives again
To save us all,
We all can now be glad."
