Thusa is a brown patched classic tabby female. She is one of five outstanding kittens from her mother CFA GRC Avicats Sophrosina Marfisa, DM
and her father CFA GRC, GRP Stormwatch's Tatsumaki. We love Thusa's expression which is complemented by her long and shaggy coat. She is extremely solid with wonderful bone, even bigger than her mother. (At two years old she weighed well over 17 pounds.) She also has our favorite head-type: a broad square muzzle with a nice profile curve and square chin. Thusa inherited her mom's big ears, with great lynx-tipping. Like her siblings and parents, she purrs loudly at the drop of a hat and is very sweet and playful.
We were thrilled with Thusa's show successes. Not only did she attain the coveted title of grand champion in CFA, but she was the region's best brown patched tabby, and second best of the Brown Tabby Color Class for the 1998-99 show year in CFA. She and her brother CFA GRC Avicats Publius Ovidius Naso granded in the same final.
Thusa's other littermates are CFA GRC Avicats Nuvoletta of Stormwatch, CFA GRC Avicats Versace of Coonoquan, and FIFe European CH Avicats Astraea Escapes, DM.
Thusa had only one litter- the kittens were fathered by CFA GRC Angtini's Jean-Claude Kitty, DM, a gorgeous red and white boy. Unfortunately, due to the difficulty of the birth, we decided Thusa should be spayed. She and the kittens all turned out fine and developed into beautiful cats. We showed a brown patched tabby and white girl, CH Avicats Vittoria Colonna ("Tori"). A second brown patched tabby and white girl from this litter is a Grand Premier- a title she earned in only three shows! CFA GRP Avicats Acadia Maine is owned by the Druckers who did a wonderful job showing her. Thusa now lives in Delaware with her own human family.
