Ovid is a silver classic tabby male and is one of a litter of five wonderful kittens out of CFA GRC Avicats Sophrosina Marfisa, DM and CFA GRC, GRP Stormwatch's Tatsumaki. He has terrific size, bone and substance, with a wonderful muzzle, profile and chin. He's a "teddy bear" with a rumbling purr. We had alot of fun showing Ovid. He and his littermate-sister CFA GRC Avicats Arethusa became CFA Grand Champions in the same final! Ovid was the best silver tabby Maine Coon for the year in CFA, and second best of his color class (which includes all tabby colors but brown) nationally and regionally for the show-year 1998-1999. Needless to say, we are very proud of him!
Ovid retired from showing and turned his attention to breeding. To this end, he lived with Sue Sherman and her Mewsicoons kitties and made some very nice babies, including CFA GRC Mewsicoons Daffodil of Angtini, DM. Ovid is now neutered and living happily as a much-loved pet.
