In June, 2001, David reported that he had ordered 18 certificates from London, 12 of which have identified individuals as belonging to either his "Tree A or G". The remaining 6 will need additional certificates before the individuals can be properly placed.

E-mail and the Internet
|
|
There are now 53 Whiteing’s in touch with other using e-mail. There is still the need to notify us of changes of e-mail addresses so that we may keep in contact. In a number of cases we do not have the postal addresses of our e-mail cousins and cannot get back into contact if they discontinue e-mail. Please just send a memo to me if this happens to you. Do you have an e-mail address that you have not told us about?

The World Wide Whiteing Directory

|
David sent a copy of his directory to all in his the last annual newsletter and received back very few amendments. It is too long a task to send it out every year but he will e-mail copies on request. David has tried to change the numbering to bring family members together on the directory. Of course, to do this properly he needs to know who are your immediate family members. This will take time and will take shape as the years pass by.

Family Tree A (Robert Whiteing of Brighton, Sussex around 1770)

David has been able to identify Frank Fitzgerald Whiteing as the son of Emily (Taylor) and Charles Abraham Whiteing, and thus a member of "Tree A". Charles Abraham Whiteing is the son of Charlotte (Poole) and Samuel Stephen Whiteing. Samuel Stephen Whiteing being one of the three brothers who now head up his "Tree A" files. The "Tree A" files have now grown to the point that David is considering dividing it into three separate files, one for each of the three brothers.
David was also able to identify Rueben Whiteing as the son of Fanny Rosina (Pierce) (previously listed as Frances Peake) and Isaac Henry Whiteing of "Tree A".
Certificates have been obtained for Arthur and William, sons of Mary Ann (Brown) and Arthur Frederick Whiteing.
