The Old Court House is located just off the square in the center of town and faces the square which contains various memorials. The Old Court House is no longer used for County business, being now the home of the Historical Society. However, the day we visited, the Old Courthouse was undergoing a renovation, and the Historical Society was temporarily moved out. The records were safely stored away, and the renovation was scheduled for completion sometime in late 1999.
