"John's Garden and Farm Animals" John always has beautiful gardens. As you can tell the vegetables are just getting started. If the deer don't eat them....then we shall have a good harvest this year. Our red chickens. This is Hilary...yep, we had our own First Lady here on Whip-Poor-Will Farm. hehe..She grew up to give us some of the best beef we've had..if you know my sister Mushmind. I have to tell you..she would not eat the beef from Hilary. She thought of the cow as a pet. psst..you just have to know Mushmind. This is Reba. John is milking her and I always had to hold her, otherwise she would take off and it would take us days to find her. One day she got loose and she took me for a little joy ride..not the kind you soon forget either!! This is Reggie. We raised Reggie on a bottle, guess whose milk he is drinking???? If you guessed Reba...you are correct. Meet Roscoe, he was a cute little thing. One of our favorites. This is Josh with Bossie and Reggie. He was so small then..no not the bull..lol..Josh!! This is John petting one of the bulls. These were my pet ducks. Their names are Donald, Dexter, and Dwana. When it was feeding time or if I just wanted to take a walk with them, all I would have to do is go out and start yelling. Quack! Quack! Quack! They would all 3 come running like little babies. This is our Little Bambi. One day I heard the dogs barking like crazy. I went out to investigate and discovered this cute little fawn. It took us a while but John and I finally got the dogs under control so Bambi could go back into the woods to find its Momma, but not before I took several photos of it...cool huh? We do not have any kind of farm animals here on Whip-Poor-Will-Farm these days...and we miss having them. John says when he finishes with his football coaching career, he is going to get a few to just play with. He misses having them as much as I do. When we get our new farm animal friends ...you will know...because they will be displayed proudly....along with the pic's of these... Thanks for visiting John's garden and barn area. Come back soon.
