(Doris: don't kick me for this one love, I know you had her happy with her crate when we got her but in a short amount of time she has discovered the pure pleasure of napping on mommies lap instead of in her crate! lol How can I resist????? She is just TOO cute!)

The minute our kids come hme from school or get out of bed they come looking for Kimi. She on the other hand is already learning the sounds of their voices and perks up the minute she hears any of them. She follows me around the house, until she spots something more interesting and then it is off to investigate that. Then it is role reversal time and I start looking for her!! (yes people she is training me quite nicely thank you! lol)

Kimi has also discovered an additional love in her life........Ben (aka; daddy). When he comes in from work she goes looking for the sound of his voice. Their favorite place together has been on the bed where there is room for them to lay down together. It truly is quite comical to see such a big, grown, hard working man turn to butter on a hot day at the sight of sweet little Kimi. The look she gets on her face is pure adoration......much the same is he look on HIS face when staring at her. Last night she was sleeping beside me while I was watching tv....she heard 'daddies'; voice and BOING!! up comes her head and ears and she's looking all around for him. Of course when Ben was told this he had to come in and bestow kisses all over her face while she was chewing on his beard. Now you all have to understand.......Ben is the typical sleeping man who does NOT like to be awakened for anything less than a tornado (and even then he slept thru one once!!) or a fire. Last night (or {{{yyyaawwnn}}} was it early this morning??) Kimi woke up at 2:30am and wanted to play. I took her out of her crate ((yes Doris she does sleep in her crate a night but only because I don't want her falling off the bed!)) and put her on the bed between Ben and I so she could play but I didn't have to get up either. Well she decided it was a great time to play "chew off daddies beard". Expecting him to grumble as normal imagine my surprise when all he did was chuckle about it and kiss her!!!!!!!!! (okay I conceed....maybe my technique has been wrong?? lol)

Kimi seems to be having a grand time here too, but let's let her tell you about that. (okay...forgive the fanciful part of this letter but who of you can't resist having fun with your puppies?)

KIMI: I do love it here. I have all kinds of toys and people to play with. I kinda miss my brothers and sisters, but at least here I get ALL the attention and don''t have to share my food or bed or mommy or anything! I am learning that when I bark everyone laughs at me and I think I kinda like that sound. It sounds happy and makes me happy so I do it again. One sound I DON"T like is when the other dogs (holy cow are they big!!!!!!! I wonder if I will get that big???? (for those of you who don't know yet we have 2 newfies here too) bark. THAT"S loud!! I keep trying to bark that big, but it doesn't work right. I know where my water dish and food bowls are at and that I can go to them whenever I want. I am not suppose to get in the cats dish, but he isn't always around either! Not that I am afraid of him! He's a scaredy cat!! Whoever said "cats rule and dogs drool" didn't know me yet!!....but they must have known the other 2 dogs here..wow..what slobber hounds THEY are! I do love my new mommy. Whenever I am tired she lets me fall asleep on her lap. When I wake up I am in my cushy basket in the front room, but she is always right there near me. She seems to know what I need before I do! It is cold here when I go outside (and she keeps aking me out to go potty.....I wonder why?) but my mommy made me a jacket to wear. At first I felt really funny in it, but I met two new boys yesterday when I had it on and they thought I was cute so I guess it is okay. A least I don't shiver so much in it.

Well......it's time for my morning nap..it is hard work attacking all these great toys and 'killing' them over and over so they don't come get my new family. I 'pounced' them all this morning so my mommy will be safe for a while. Time for me to sleep so I can get up and 'kill' them all again soon. {{{[yyyaawwwnnn}}}] bye everyone. By the way......for all of you who have a brother or sister of mine, please tell them I am doing great here and I hope they all got as good of a home as I did.

Kimi and I will be back in a few days to let you know what our weekend is like. She is going to be meeting lots of new people in our family this weekend. We will keep you all informed. Bye for now from all of us here.
