Okay....don't get to worked up...this isn't exactly another Kimi story (sorry!) I just thought you might like to know where she is and what she is doing when I am putting another story of hers on line for you.
My computer is sitting on a large wooden desk with drawers down either side. At the top of each row of drawers is a shelf you can pull out to work on if needed. I don't work on it....Kimi sleeps on it!! I pull out the one on the left (I am left handed so I can pet her easily from here) and put her "blankie" on this shelf and set her down. She curls right up and takes a nap while I type. That way she knows where I am...we are still together and I know the minute she wakes up so I can take her out to go potty. And we never have to be apart for very long this way. Plus she never has to wake up alone! She loves it here, and if I happen to be here working on something while she is playing with the kids, she will come looking for me when she is ready to take a nap. Just like this morning. I was sitting here answering some of me e-mail left for me thru the night and I kept hearing her sharp little "YIP". I assumed she was upstairs playing with my son who doesn't have school today. After hearing it for a while and realizing I didn't hear him laughing at her as usual when they play together I went to investigate. There she was sitting on the second stair down from the landing (she had managed to come down the first set of carpeted steps on her own) 'yipping' for me. When I saw her there her little tail started wagging and thumping on the floor. I picked her up and cuddled her for a second and she settled right down into my arms. I kissed her and carried her back to my desk, arranging her ''blankie'' 'just so' for her. She is now sleeping peacefully, somewhere off in doggy-dreamland. Maybe dreaming of big bones to chew on, kitties to chase and and a whole field of dandelions to destroy (which will become a story of it's own one day soon) and sit here happily typing this to you all with a contended smile on MY face...knowing I am the luckiest one of all....not only do I have Kimi to love....but I know I have HER love, too. Eat your hearts out!
