(oh, by the way, Doris doesn't know we put this up *smile*)

I would imagine that Doris will receive a lot of requests for her puppies, but not everyone will be calling her because of Kimi. Doris has quality puppies with absolutely wonderful presonalities and temperaments. As I am sure all of us who have one of Doris's puppies (or grown dogs ) can attest to. (BTW it is Kimi's biological daddy who also sired this litter>BG<).

As for not being able to find another Kimi among all the puppies in the world....all I can say is that in every Sheltie there is a Kimi waiting to happen. I know she has given me a wonderful time, in the time that I have had her with me....and hopefully will contiue to do so for many many years. But truly, each of you who has a Sheltie has no doubt experienced the same sort of things I have with my darling. The difference isn't in the dog, but in the way your Sheltie approaches life. And maybe in the way I can 'see' what Kimi does in her day. She has taught me the true meaning of what the Lakota teach their children....to live life with your heart and mind and not just your mind. I 'see' things in life a lot more clearly since I have gotten Kimi....and I have learned to see life once again as a child in many ways. That is in thanks to Kimi and her zest and love for life.

As much as it is in the careful breeding that Doris does with her wonderful dogs, Kimi is the way she is in part, because of the way she was raised during the time Doris had her. This woman gives of herself to her puppies while they are with her and it truly is carried over into their life outside of Doris's world. She opens their hearts to life just as nature opens their eyes.

It is true that it takes a village to raise a child, but then I think it is much the same for our fur friends too. The way they turn out starts way before their adopted families get them. So I have Doris to thank not only for Kimi's wonderful breeding but for all the love and care she gave to her before Kimi came to live with me. I know not every two dogs turn out the same, and there might never be another one JUST like Kimi, but then those of us who are owned by our Shelties help to shape them into what they become too. It is a joint venture, but starting out with all the right ingredients puts you on a sure course to a master piece of perfection.

So Doris.........KUDOS to you for the "perfection" we find in our Kimi every day!
