Jan. 5-6, 1994: Serbs heavy
weapons pound Sarajevo.
Jan. 6, 1994: Olympic Figure skater
Nancy Kerrigan is attacked and struck several times in the knee.
Jeff Gillooly, Tonya Harding's husband, is later convited of hiring someone
to attack Kerrigan to elliminate her from attending the 1994 Winter Olympics.
Jan. 13, 1994: 3 arrested
in attack.
Jan. 17, 1994: Major earthquake
hits LA, 51 dead.
Feb. 9, 1994: Clinton ends
trade embargo on Vietnam.
Feb. 22, 1994: Aldrich Ames,
high C.I.A. official, charged with spying for Soviets.
March 4, 1994: 4 convicted
of World Trace Center bombing.
March 17, 1994, Tonya Harding enters
a plea of guilty of conspiracy to hinder prosecution in association with
the attack of Nancy Kerrigan. She denies any prior knowledge or involvement
in planning the assault on Kerrigan. Harding gets 3 years probation
and must pay fines and do 500 hours of community service.
March 23, 1994: Mexican Presidential
candidate assisinated.
April 6, 1994: Thousands die

April 29, 1994: South Africa

Michael and Alex. She denies having any involement in the abduction.
Hours later, she confesses to the local sheriff to killing her sons by
driving her car into a local lake.
Nov. 6, 1994: Reagan, 83,
reveals that he has Alzheimer's disease.
Nov. 8, 1994: G.O.P. wins
control of House and Senate.
Nov. 10, 1994: Clinton orders Bosinan
