Newton Law was born on 19 February 1862 at West Virginia. He was the son of Asby Poole Law. He married Serusia (?) in 1888. Newton Law is head of household on the census of 3 May 1910 at Ritchie County, West Virginia, as "Newton Law". He was listed as a married, white male of age 48 who could read and write. He had been married to his current wife, his second, for 22 years. His occupation was given as farmer. He owned his own farm which was mortgaged. Both he and his parents were shown as born in West Virginai.. Enumerated with him were Serusia (?), Stella Law, Henry Layfield, Harley Rexroad and Mattie Boston. He and Serusia (?) had 8 children. Alexander Bradly Cody McKenzie was born on 16 July 1848 at Purdy, McNairy County, Tennessee. He was the son of James Madison McKenzie and Isabella Malissa McCann. He married A. Eliza Welden on 12 March 1871 at Minden, Webster Parish, Louisiana. He and A. Eliza Welden had 10 children. Eight of them were living on 30 April 1910. Harley Rexroad was born in 1882 at West Virginia. Harley Rexroad was also known as Rexroad Harley On the 1910 US Census form, the name is listed as "Harley Rexroad". By convention, the cenus taker was entering them as surname, given name but there were occasional lapses where the census taker apparently entered them in the reverse order, given name then surname, as they were spoken to him. It seems more likely that Rexroad is the surname but I have entered this person under both variations.

1. On the 1910 Census form, his name is given as "Harley Rexroad". This would make his surname Harley and his given name Rexroad. It is more likely to me that the census taker entered the names in the given name, surname order as it was spoken to him. Thus, I am listing him as if the form contained "Rexroad, Harley" as well as "Harley, Rexroad".
