John Granberry was born between 1657 and 1665; Dunagin:"born in 1665 or early in 1657." He married Ann Spivey, daughter of Mathew Spivey and Judith Bowers, in 1697/98 at Norfolk County, Virginia. He died in 1724.

Champion Spivey was born before 1758; +. He was the son of Nathaniel Spivey. He lived in 1780 at Chowan County, North Carolina; +. He deeded land to his brother, Nathaniel. In 1780 at Gates County, North Carolina. He married Sarah (?). He died before 7 September 1797; His will was proved on "9-7-1797." He left a will on 7 September 1797 at Chowan Precinct; The date the will was proved is given as "9-7-1797" in Dunagin, so, it could be either Sep. 7 or July 9.

Mary Spivey was born on 5 October 1758. She was the daughter of Moses Spivey and Jemima Stanley. She married James Bate on 2 June 1776. She married John Moon on 18 February 1790. She died on 16 October 1838 at age 80.

James Bate was born on 20 June 1756 (This date is shown in Dunagin as 1776 which must be in error! I have guessed at a date of 21 years prior to marriage). He married Mary Spivey, daughter of Moses Spivey and Jemima Stanley, on 2 June 1776. He died on 3 June 1787 at age 30.

He married Charity Suttle circa 1834 at Perry County, Alabama. He married Elizabeth Green circa 1837 at Perry County, Alabama. He married Harriet Matilda Suttle on 8 August 1842 at Mississippi. He is listed in the 1860 Census as age 47 and his wife 'H.M.' is age 35. He died on 2 September 1889 at Fouke, Miller County, Arkansas, at age 76.

He died before 6 June 1808 at Lincoln County, Georgia; "Lincoln County Court Minutes for 1799-1905, Book M, 1805-1814, p. 61 note that on Monday June 6, 1808, THOMAS BOND was ordered to 'give other security in place of DAVID STOVALL, deceased, on the security of the orphan of JESSE WALKER, dec'd. Security: JOSHUA GRINAGE.'"

Josiah Stovall Jr. was born circa 1775 at Granville County, North Carolina. He was born circa 1776 at Granville County, North Carolina. He was the son of Josiah Stovall and Mary Hicks. He moved from Lincoln County, Georgia in before 1818. He moved to Cotaco County, Alabama, in 1818 and later to Lawrence County, Alabama. He died before 1848 at Lawrence County, Alabama. He died after 1850 at Lawrence County, Alabama; per "The Stovall Family in America", pg 121. He died in 1855 at Lawrence County, Alabama.

Sarah Stovall was born on 28 December 1777 at Granville County, North Carolina. Sarah Stovall also went by the name of Sallie. She was the daughter of Josiah Stovall and Mary Hicks. She married Elisha Holmes Sr. circa 1795 at Wilkes County, Georgia. She and Elisha Holmes Sr. had 11 children. She died after 1850 at Pike County, Mississippi. She died after 1850 at Waltham, Mississippi; source is "The Stovall Family in America", p121.

William Stovall was born on 18 April 1780 at Granville County, North Carolina. He was the son of Josiah Stovall and Mary Hicks. He married Cynthia Tatom circa 1805 at Lincoln County, Georgia. Cynthia Tatom was the mother of all of his children. He and Cynthia Tatom had 12 children. He died on 9 November 1865 at Lee County, Mississippi, at age 85. He was buried at Verona, Mississippi.

Bartholomew Stovall Jr. was born circa 1708 at Henrico County, Virginia. He was the son of Bartholomew Stovall and Ann Burton. He and John Stovall are found "[i]n the Virginia Patent Book 14, 1728-1732, page 464... granted 200 acres of land lying at the head of Stoval's Branch down to Stoval's Creek, Goochland Co., Va." On 28 September 1732 in Goochland County, Virginia. On 7 October 1734 in "Deed Bk. 2, pp. 24,25, BARTHOLOMEW STOVALL and his brother, JOHN, of Goochland Co., planters, sell to EDMOND TONEY of the County of New Kent, planter, for 5 shillings sterling, a tract of land lying in Goochland Co., containing 100 acres, part of 200 acres granted by patent unto said BARTHOLOMEW and JOHN STOVALL, 28 Sept. 1732 ... " He died circa 1766 at Powhatan County, Virginia; death is either 1766 or 1767.

Margaret Stovall was born circa 1706; Birthdate established as 20 years before she and husband dealt in land in 1726 in Henrico County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Bartholomew Stovall and Ann Burton. She married Luke Wiles before 1726; date based on their being married at time of land indenture in Henrico County, Virginia in 1726. As of after 1726,her married name was Wiles.

Dr. Thomas Jones was born on 18 September 1794 at South Carolina. He married Elizabeth Stovall, daughter of Ralph Stovall and Martha Harrington, on 21 December 1815. He married Elizabeth Stovall, daughter of Ralph Stovall and Martha Harrington, on 23 December 1815. As of 1851, Dr. Thomas Jones was also known as Thomas Smith "Abstracts of Mississippi Court Cases, Case #6284, 1851, incorrectly gives THOMAS' name as SMITH, but the handwritten copy of the case and the marriage license both list him as THOMAS JONES." He died on 6 September 1869 at Hinds County, Mississippi, at age 74.
