He served "as a private in the War of the Revolution and was in the army 22 months" in 1776.
He married Mary Fields on 1 August 1783 at Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
"In the late 1780s" Henry McWhorter "moved to Virginia (now West Virginia). He settled on Hackers Creek, in Lewis County." A town named McWhorter's Mills grew from the log cabin and grist mill that he built. It was later renamed Jane Lew.
He died on 4 February 1848 at age 87.
He was buried at McWhorter Cemetery, McWhorter, West Virginia.

He was the son of John Hall and Margaret Snider.
He married Rebecca Springston, daughter of Jacob Springston Jr. and Luda Goff, on 4 February 1838 at Lewis County, Virginia.

He and Rebecca Springston built a homestead in 1868 on Horn Creek which burned in 1971. It was occupied at the time by a great-granddaughter, Julia Hall Gordon and and her husband,Bertie Gordon.

Jacob Bush was born in 1756.
He was the son of George Adam Bush.
He served in the Army during the Revolutionary War. He was a member of Captain Samuel Pringle's Indian Spies between 1778 and 1779 at the Buckhannon Fort, Monongahela County, Virginia.
He served in Captain George Jackson's company of Militia under Lieutenant William White. He served as a substitute for his brother, John Bush. Between 1781 and 1782 at the Buckhannon Fort, Monongahela County, Virginia. His unit joined General Roger Clarke's Army as part of Col. Zachariah Morgan's Regiment in the expedition to the falls of the Ohio River (now Louisville). He acted as a hunter in a party commanded by a Col. Green..
He may have married before 1782. Barr Wilson identifies a possible son named Adam Bush who was not a child of Margaret Snar. Barr postulates a first wife, possibly Margaret Swan, as the mother of Adam..
He married Margaret Snar in 1782.
He died on 28 November 1832.

He first settled in Berke County, Pennsylvania and then moved to what is now Pendleton County, West Viriginia after 1733.
He died at Frederick County, Virginia.
