Just got a new job. Right now I'm learning it so I haven't really decided how much I like it!!! I'm a deputy for Anoka County -- not the kind of deputy that rides around in a squad car with a gun (althought that would be really kewl) but the kind of deputy they use to update criminal files and assist in court. I work with Juvenile Court. Lotsa brats out there!!! Pretty interesting, but there is a lot to learn! I did request a badge and I'm still waiting for it.
I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be on the internet. It's a lot of fun! Go to my new Super Humour page to see what I like best HUMOUR!!!! I would like to sell my antique/collectibles on the net too. I might just do that in the future.
I live out in the country on 5 acres of wooded land with my husband, youngest son, 1 dogs and 2 cats. We've lived out in the "sticks" now for 16 years after moving here from the big city where we lived on the city bus line and about 500 feet from a railroad track that coal trains traveled on to Northern States Power Company. Every 15 minutes a huge bus would roll by and then the coal trains would go by and shake, rattle and roll our house! We got so used to it, we even slept through them passing by! At first when we moved out into the country, it was so quiet we couldn't sleep!
My husband works as a Maintenance/Machinest Supervisor for Illbruck, a Company that manufactures products made out of foam rubber (what a "cushy job"!) He carries a "MENSA" card in his wallet which proves he is a genius(?) We've been married for 26 years I think that's too long! LOL....my youngest son is currently in college. The older son is a Geek with the Geek Squad. Of course I'm only 29 years old!
My very very first sale was at the historic Livery Stable in Beautiful Taylors Falls, Minnesotan (see pic. below) and the second one was at the Anoka Armory in Minnesota!
PS: The owner of the Livery Mall still owes Herself $30.00! Remind her if you see her -- OK?????? ROTFL -- PAY ME LOSER!
I love to find bargoons (as my friend Sunny would say) at rummage sales and auctions and then resell them to people "looking for them"! I like to sell below book value and just above what I paid. It's so much fun to see someone find something I had that was just what they were looking for! I like to make people happy but don't take me for a "pushover"!!!
I could never resist a bargain so as a result, I have a whole basement and garage full of "stuff". If I had it my way, I would live like this forever! Selling Herbalife, Antiques/Collectibles and playing on the internet!
I also dabble in crafts, I've made many many crocheted items including lots and lots of afgans! I also collect things if they strike my fancy and the price is right! I have a different assortment of tea sets, both minature and full sized, I have some porcelian dolls, some angels, lots and lots and lots of cat items (mostly ceramic antique knick knacks).
I love clocks, have an 110 year old antique pump organ in fantastic shape and it still works (which I can't play but my hubby got it for 20 bucks at an auction), an antique buffet and various other things like that.
I also collect "Super" stuff, I have superman dolls, super mom coffee mugs, super t-shirts...... My house is wall to wall with junk! LOL
I like all colors, but I'm partial to PURPLE!!! I like people and I love the internet because I've made so many new friends! I like comedys as opposed to "tear-jerker" movies and I like some action adventure movies. I have a bird feeder in my back yard and I see a lot of birds, owls, deer....... once we even had a black bear in the neighborhood -- he "carried" our garbage can from our deck into the driveway -- DIDN'T DRAG IT!
I grew up in a family of 7 - 3 sisters and 1 brother and 2 parents. I haven't had any "formal" education beyond high school, but I am self-taught in a lot of different areas. Besides, I'm married to a member of MENSA so some of his genius has rubbed off on me! (I would venture to say that most of it has! ROTFLMAO I am a licensed Notary too! (WOW I AM LEGAL!)
I love to read and I love to learn different things! I have phases where I am interested in different things, I learn all about them and then move on to other things!
Most of all, I love to laugh! I always see the funny side of things, even if it isn't supposed to be funny. That has gotten me into trouble on various occasions! I feel I'm pretty good at "reading" people and I like to help people. I love to swim - my favorite exercise, and I HATE MOSQUITOS, WOODTICKS, AND DEER FLIES! Any insect that bites! That's why I love winter -- the darn bugs FREEZE!!!! LOL
