MOMMABEAR
Why MOMMABEAR? Well back in our "CB radio" days, my hubby's handle was "kodiak" (as in kodiak bear) and I needed something that went along with that, so I became Mommabear!
I thought I might as well continue on with that one in cyberspace too! So here I am MOMMABEAR!
Well, the reason I have the handle Sierra was when I was first going into diettalk, there was another Sharon who was always depressed and threatening suicide, so I shortened it to Shar, then there were 3 other Shars and I was reading a book that was laying on my desk and the title was "High Sierra" so that is how I came upon the name Sierra -- so far I am the only one with that handle!
PANDA
I like animals, and I got an endangered species calendar for Christmas. I was thumbing through it looking for ideas for a handle, and I saw the Panda Bear! I like that name because (hopefully) it gives the image of being cute and cuddley and easy to talk to instead of fierce and threatening like some of the animals.
SUNNY
"The first time I went into Diettalk, I posted under my real name, cause I was such a newbie to the web, I really didn't know any better. Well I have to tell you, the first time I went in there, the people that were in there were really rude to me and I felt so uncomfortable, but I like the idea of gaining support form others so went back a second time. This time there was another lady in there with my name so had to come up with a new one. The sun was shining that day so I thought, why not? And that is how I became Sunny. And I'm glad I did!"
HERSELF
I wanted to be "SUPER" but I had a real gender identity problem with this handle! Before I found my favorite chatroom, "Diettalk" I used to wander all over in cyber space looking into chat rooms. Whenever I logged on as "Super" I found that I had all sorts of women "hitting" on me! When I logged on as "Superchick, Superwoman, SuperShe (all of which I thought were kind of corny anyways), then I found all sorts of men "hot" for me (LOL)!
Well, one day I was logged on in Web Chat as "Super1" and started having all the usual problems, so I logged off and logged back on as HERSELF and, well, it stuck and it has worked very well for me. Some people have asked me if it is after "Herself the Elf" and that makes me laugh because I am 5'8" tall! So that's my story!
Everybody from DIETTALK should know who Taz is! Taz got her handle because those are her initials -- as simple as that! It sure does fit her too, because she is a whirlwind of energy and also a little devil (but one with a halo)! PS: It is now TAZmo and the "mo" is for Missouri!

I just used my middle name so that I would remember it! Having "Sue" for a middle name does sound kind of "hillbilly" now doesn't it? LOL
