Note: This was written while Jeffrey Barksdale Hill was still living, but there is an error in the opening paragraph where it states, "Isaac Hill, the paternal grandfather of our subject was born in Georgia..." Isaac is believed to have been born in MD and to have moved to NC, GA, and TN later.
