Isabelle attended Willow Grove rural school. After her marriage to Earl, they established their first home on a farm near White Pigeon. They lived there until moving to North English about 1929. When her mother passed away she was a second mother to her younger sisters, even taking them into her home. She was united with the North English Christian Church in girlhood and retained that affiliation unto her death. She also belonged to the Eastern Star. Belle liked the simple things, especially children and flowers, neighborly kindness, unspoken sentiments.
