From Shirley (Anderson) Reed's notes: Vera was living in California during the 1920s (with her mother). Her first marriage was to Will Mek, according to Helen Crose. Helen also believed that she had a son named Taylor after his father, her second husband. A letter from Evelyn Ballou Erks to Dorothy Ballou Anderson in 5-1947 stated that Vera and her baby came for a visit. Apparently this Vera? Dorothy's address book had Vera listed as Mrs. A.W. Nielson at 1435 Dessan, Ontario, CA, which matches the 1945 Ontario phone directory. In 1940 she lived on a ranch near Pomona, according to the Pomona directory. She moved fom Pomona to Ventura 9 years before her death.
