Lucille graduated from Norman, OK, High School and attended the University of Oklahoma where she was a charter member of Pi Zeta Kappa, honorary religious organization for women. She graduated from the University of Chicago.

Lucille taught in Mounds, MD, during the 1921-23 school years. She worked for 4 years training employees for Montgomery Ward, first in Chicago, then in Baltimore and New York.

Beginning in 1931, they made their home in Garden City, Long Island, NY until their retirement when they have lived in Sarasota, FL, and Palm Springs, CA.

She and her husband traveled all around the world and visited famous golf courses. She enjoyed being active and participated in bicycling, swimming, sailing, dancing and other games. She lived life with much enthusiasm and enjoyed doing things with her children. She also read, hooked rugs and did oil paintings.
