Bill lived north of Sigourney for a few years and then SW of Keota for about 3 years and then bought their place three and a half miles east of Keota, in Washington County about 1935-36. He and Veronica moved to town (Keota) in 1954, where they lived the rest of their lives. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1975 with a dinner for the family at the Golden Buckle in Keota and an open house at St. Mary's in Keota

Veronica was always known by her nickname, Frona, or Frony, she lived near Keota most of her life and attended Clear Creek School. She was a homemaker and a cook at Central Cafe in Keota. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Keota and the Altar and Rosary Society.
