Right after their marriage, Allie and Margaret started out on a farm northeast of Keswick.

Allie and his family farmed on the west edge of Sigourney until about 1947. Then they moved to the northeast edge of Delta where they farmed. Allie had retired to Sigourney in 1969. He and Margaret were able to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 5, 1974.

Allie had a stroke on December 31, 1974, which led to his death eventually.

Margaret was the daughter of Paul S. and Margaret Buch Peiffer. She was a member of the Alter and Rosary society of St. Mary's church.
