Unii's Business Card Holder Pattern
I made this business card holder for David. He worked at Imperial Home Decor Group® for years, and the logo is on the front.
Of course you may change the logo to whatever you wish, but this is the basic design for a business card holder.
Materials:
Plastic Canvas:
1 Sheet 7 count Plastic Canvas
Yarn:
Red Medium Green Medium Blue White
Stitches Used:
Tent Stitch
Reversed Tent Stitch
Overcast
Instructions:
Cut 2 pieces of PC 26 x 16 threads (Pieces A and B - Back).
Cut 2 pieces of PC 8 x 11 threads (Pieces C and D - Sides).
Cut 1 pieces of PC 8 x 26 threads (Piece E - Bottom).
Cut 1 pieces of PC 26 x 11 threads (Pieces F - Front).
Fill the Backs (A and B), Sides (C and D), and, if you wish, the bottom (E) with white Tent stitches, DO NOT overcast yet! Follow the pattern below using tent stitches and reversed tent stitches for the Front (F). Use white tent stitches to fill in around the pattern.
That was easy enough, now for the fun part!
Overcast the two back sections (A and B) together ONLY at the top, making sure that the wrong sides face each other! Then overcast the back (A and B) to one side (C), beginning at the top, making sure that the bottoms match up, NOT the tops. Repeat with other side (D), overcasting it to the back (A and B) in the same fashion. Connect the Front (F) to the Side (C), matching up the bottoms with the overcast stitch. Repeat with other side (D), overcasting it to the Front (F) in the same fashion. Place the Bottom (E) at the bottom in line with the Front (F), Back (A and B), and Sides (C and D). Overcast the Bottom (E) to these at the bottom.
