Unii's Cleveland Indians Chief Wahoo Trinket Box Pattern
I made this Chief Wahoo Trinket Box for my son, Matthew, who is a huge Cleveland Indians fan. He uses it to store all of his little Indians paraphernalia.
Materials:
Plastic Canvas: 3 sheets of 7 count White (or clear) Plastic Canvas
Yarn:Navy Blue White Red Aqua or Light Blue
DMC Floss:Black
Stitches Used:
Tent Stitch Slanting Gobelin Stitch Overcast Stitch
Instructions:
Cut 1 piece of PC 45 x 71 threads (Piece A - Top).
Cut 2 pieces of PC 7 x 45 (Pieces A1 and A2 - Short Top Sides).
Cut 2 pieces of PC 7 x 71 (Piece A3 and A4 - Long Top Sides).
Cut 1 piece of PC 43 x 69 (Piece B - Bottom). Leave unstitched.
Cut 2 pieces of PC 35 x 43 (Pieces B1 and B2 - Short Bottom Sides).
Cut 2 pieces of PC 35 x 69 (Pieces B3 and B4 - Long Bottom Sides).
Stitch Piece A as shown in the pattern below. Fill in between the rows of Aqua or Light Blue Gobelin stitches with White Backstitches (see pattern for reference). Finish off Piece A by Backstitching the Black Embroidery Floss as indicated on the pattern.
Stitch Pieces A1, A2, A3, and A4 with Aqua Blue Gobelin Stitches over 5 threads, as as shown in the pattern. Whipstitch Piece A to Pieces A1 through A4 with White Yarn, creating the box top.
Stitch Pieces B1, B2, B3, and B4 with Aqua Blue Gobelin Stitches over 5 threads, (the top row is only over 3 threads) as as shown in the pattern. Fill in between the rows of Aqua or Light Blue Gobelin stitches with White Backstitches (see pattern for reference). Whipstitch UNWORKED Piece B to Pieces B1 through B4 with White Yarn, creating the box Bottom.
