"The Last Exit of my dreams", as he called his chosen four jazz musicians composed of Omar Hakim on durms; Kenny kirkland on keyboards, Darryl Jones on bass guitar and Branford Marsalis on saxophone. Still, on February that year, The Police met to collect a British Phonographic Industry award. A year later, The Police would reunite during one of the "Conspiracy of Hope" concert tour in America. Record companies would release other compilations in the years following. Every Breath You Take -- The Singles was released in 1985. Six years after The Singles, in 1992, A&M records produced The Police: Greatest Hits, a compilation of the 16 best songs of the group from Roxanne to Every Breath You Take. This would be followed closely by the release of Message in a Box, a four-CD set featuring the complete recordings of The Police, including those singularly released. In 1995, a Live album was released! In celebration of their twentieth anniversary, The Very Best of Sting & The Police, marking the two-decade recording career of Sting and The Police, was recently released. It contains cuts from classic Police albums with Sting favorites. |
