Season Six
Welcome to Astrometrics Databank One-Alpha,
your source for Voyager tidbits and bloopers. This ever growing guide will
give you interesting facts that you may have never noticed before...like,
did you notice a subtle change between season one and season two? Probably
not. The tricorders and phasers were all updated, replacing the old design.
(The most obvious of this is the Doc's tricorder...no big end-piece) This
is just one of the many things that your eye may never see while watching,
until now.

struck by the aliens, neither of them instantly die as previously established
in Equinox I.
When Voyager's EMH appears back on Voyager,
his ethical subroutines are mysteriously reactivated.
During the chase between Voyager and the
Equinox at warp, there is a visual effects shot of Voyager with it's nacelles
down.

at the end, demoted to crewmen.
Janeway relieves Chakotay of duty.

Interesting Facts:
Seven's former fellow Borg drones are
seen, and one of them, Three of Nine, is a Bajoran and a former Starfleet
officer.
Vaughn Armstrong also appeared as Gul
Dunar in DS9's Past Prologue, as the Romulan scientist Telek R'Mor in Voyager's
Eye of the Needle and as the Klingon Captain Korris in TNG's Heart of Glory.
"Barge of the Dead"
Bloopers:
None.
Interesting Facts:
Ron Moore's last Voyager episode that
he wrote, before he left due to differences with Voyager producer Brannon
Braga.
Klingon hell is seen for the first time.
It is interesting how Klingon mythology somewhat resembles Greek mythology.
We see B'Elanna's mother, Miral, for the
first time.
We also learn that Klingons not only pay
for sins of the father, but sins of the daughter.
"Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy"
Bloopers:
The exact shot of the Doc transforming
into the ECH with the four pips appearing is shown twice.

The first episode of Voyager directed
by an Oscar winner! John Bruno won an Oscar for his work on James
Cameron's "The Abyss".
The Doctor daydreams.
Janeway considers the Doctors idea of
an ECH.
The Doctor receives a medal of valour
for saving the ship. I wonder how many Seven has gotten??
"Alice"

An episode that sounds a little like Stephen
King's "Christine".
Originally entitled, "Genie".
"Riddles"

None.
Interesting Facts:
First Voyager episode directed by Roxann
Dawson (B'Elanna Torres).
Tuvok experiences emotions, and realizes
how poorly he has treated Neelix in the past.
Originally entitled, "Paradigm".
"Dragon's Teeth"
Bloopers:
There is no mention of Voyager rescuing
Tuvok from the surface at the end of the episode.
Interesting Facts:
This episode was originally to be a two
hour film, but was cut to be a one hour, one parter.
Originally entitled "5,000 Years".
We learn that the Borg was not as powerful
900 years ago.
Jeff Allin (Gedren) appeared in the TNG
episode "Imaginary Friend" as Ensign Daniel Sutter, and in the video game
"Star Trek: Borg" as Lt. Furlong. Rob Knepper appeared as Wyatt Miller,
Deanna Troi's betrothed, in the early TNG episode "Haven".
"One Small Step"
Bloopers:
None
Interesting Facts:
Also entitled "The Gates of Heaven".
Directed by Robert Picardo (The Doctor)
Phil Morris, who plays John Kelly, has
a long Star Trek history. He has appeared in TOS, Star Trek III,
and two episodes of Star Trek DS9.
The producers attempted to get their design
of the Ares IV as accurate as possible to the proposed Mars landers provided
by NASA.
Around the time this episode aired, NASA
lost contact with two of it's probes sent to Mars.
"The Voyager Conspiracy"
Bloopers:
Janeway and Seven beam out of the Delta
Flyer at the end...wouldn't it have been easier to simply plot a course
home in the Flyer???
Interesting Facts:
Holy jumpings! The first mention
of Kes since she left three years ago!! Even Seska got a mention
in this one.
We learn that a Cardassian vessel was
pulled to the Delta Quadrant, then returned to the Alpha Quadrant.
We also learn that a piece of the Caretaker's
Array was retrieved before it was destroyed, and eventually found it's
way to make the Catapult.
Voyager uses the catapult to get three
years closer to home.
The producers really didn't know what
to do with this one...apparently, the script was revised constantly, and
in some cases, Jeri Ryan would receive the script for the scene to be shot
on the same day. The ending was changed as well. Originally,
the ending had Seven of Nine destroying the Catapult. However, they
changed it so that Voyager used the Catapult to get three years closer
to home.
"Pathfinder"
Bloopers:
Not to be nitpicky, but since Starfleet
last communicated with Voyager, they travelled an extra ten years from
the Slipstream, 15 years thanks to the Borg transwarp conduits and three
years thanks to the catapult used in the previous episode. So, how
did they know where Voyager was?
Initially, the photo of Tom in Admiral
Paris' office, shows the image flipped, with the combadge on the wrong
side. They fixed this in the closeup of the picture.
Interesting Facts:
Contact is made with Voyager.
Admiral Owen Paris appears, played by
a different actor than in "Persistance of Vision" when Paris was last seen.
The photo of Tom is actually a still from
TNG's "The First Duty", and is a picture of Robert McNeill as Cadet Nicholas
Locarno.
Barclay and Troi are shown in this TNG
meets VOY episode.
Other Star Trek items/characters that
get mention in this episode: The Enterprise E, Geordie LaForge, Captain
Picard, Spot, Data, Deep Space Nine.
