When asked if he ever consider joining "Man Hunt", dAnIeL - hailed as the "Takenouchi Yutaka" of HK - replied immediately that with his character, he would not go for the contest. But if he wasn't a singer now, he would most probably go for singing contests. It is not that he doesn't support such contests, he does. Usually such contests are for ladies and guys do have a right to take part in such things too. But it will change a person's life. And dAnIeL said his refusal to take part in the "Man Hunt" has nothing to do with parading around in a swimwear.
How about whether he has the qualifications to take part in the contest? dAnIeL feels that the most important thing that a guy must have is charisma, confidence, talent but the beauty contest would put looks in top priority, so there would be the showing off of muscle. But dAnIeL simply refused to say if he is qualified to take part in the contest. "Never mind about it, anyway I wouldn't take part in it."
When mentioned that he is the "Takenouchi Yutaka" of HK, dAnIeL said that he was too busy with work to keep in touch with japanese serials and doesn't know who is he. He laughingly say that he is definitely "Chen Xiao Dong". Comparing daniel with Takenouchi Yutaka, dAnIeL fares quite well indeed. With a height of 5 feet 11inches, 145pounds, chest of 41inches, waist - 29 inches, hips - 37 inches, wrist - 13 and a half inches, length of his legs - 42 inches, with a lean body shape it seems like dAnIeL do have the winning qualifications.
dAnIeL's music teacher -Tai Sichung, nominated a girl who became one of the finalists for "Miss HK". dAnIeL is happy for her though he wasn't told of the girl by Tai. He believes that he will meet the girl becoz he is one of the performers for this year's "Miss HK Contest".

[14TH OF APRIL] ~Singtao
dAnIeL with his "Takenouchi Yutaka's hairstyle" was said to be the Takenouchi Yutaka of HK. However dAnIeL said that his hairstyle has nothing to do with Takenouchi Yutaka. Instead he gelled his hair as it is quite long. Altough dAnIeL doesn't know Takenouchi Yutaka well, but he knows that the latter acts in Japanese serials and is popular in Japan. He cheekily said that "I am definitely Chen Xiao Dong!"
When crossing to the hot topic of "Man Hunt", dAnIeL said that he supports the contest because such contest is not only the rights of ladies. dAnIeL feels that a guys hould have the charisma, confidence and talent. However in such contest, a good body and looks do come in. daniel has never thought of joining "Man Hunts" and he emphasized that it has nothing to do with parading with only swimwear. When asked if dAnIeL would want to nominate his brother for such contests, he said that his brother will defnitely say no. And dAnIeL mischeviously nomiated one of his helper.
About Tai's nomination for one of the finalists as "Miss HK", dAnIeL confessed that he knows nothing. But he believes that he will meet her as he is performing for the "Miss HK Contest". Among all the previous winners of "Miss HK", dAnIeL said that he admires Maggie Cheung best ,for her oriental and modern beauty.

[14TH OF APRIL] ~Takung
dAnIeL turned up at the activity with a hairstyle similiar to Takenouchi Yutaka. When mentioned about the "HK's Man Hunt", dAnIeL said that if he is not yet in the entertainment biz, he would go singing contests instead. But dAnIeL stressed that it is not that he does not support such contests but feels that according to his character, he is not suited to take part in that.
Asked if he has the qualifications to enter such contests, dAnIeL says that qualifications are said by others. If they say he has, then he has. If they say he doesn't then he doesn't. But he emphasized that he doesn't have the character to go for it, and it has nothing to do with parading with swimwear. When jokingly suggest that he should nominate his brother for the HK man Hunt, dAnIeL replied that his brother is definitely more unsuitable to join such contests.

dAnIeL appeared with a new hairstyle at the "Garfield Day" activity. dAnIeL's new hairstyle resembled Takenouchi Yutaka - a Japanese actor (Heaven's Coins). Could it be that dAnIeL wants to copy Takenouchi Yutaka??
dAnIeL explained, "Everyone seems to say that I copy this and copy that. Acutally it wasn't done delibrately. It's just that I woke up feeling lazy today so I just make use of the gel and gelled my hair instead of styling it." And about the style and dressing of other japanese male stars, dAnIeL said he rarely observe them. He grinned and said he will cut his hair in a few days and by that time It would not be another copy of anyone's.
Besides this, dAnIeL with his part as one of the "Caring Stars" passed a 20 - thousand dollar cheque to HK's Children Society. While performing, a little girl kept walking to the stage to get close to dAnIeL and accidentally hit dAnIeL's butt and the audience laughed.

dAnIeL's latest album "Intimate" has took the ToP pOsiTioN of Taiwan's IFPI for four consective weeks!! And dAnIeL was elated at achieving such impressive results.
dAnIeL who participated in some activity yesterday (sorry dunno how to translate that) said that the album "Intimate" by gaining the top position of the TAiwan's IFPI hasalready broken the records for his earlier mandarin debut "XiN yOu Du ZhOng" as the earlier album only got up to the second position. "XiN yOu Du ZhOnG", to dAnIeL has already achieved considerable good results , so for this album, he was very careful as the listeners now will have higher expectations. But dAnIeL feels that both the albums has been released with very little time in between and was worried that the Taiwan fans would not be able to adapt to the latest one totally.
dAnIeL said," In just a few years, i have already released 2 mandarin albums in Taiwan and with the cantonese albums, karaoke MTVs (VCDs) and compilations, seems to give a feeling of hurried and rushed work. To avoid that, I hope to wait for some time before the third mandarin album is released."

[13TH OF APRIL] ~Takung
dAnIeL attended some activity (as mentioned earlier, i dunno the translation, sorry!) and expressed that he has just completed his promotion work in Taiwan and has reaped goods results. "Intimate" has gained the top position of Taiwan's IFPI for 4 weeks consectively and his hard work is being paid off.
Though so, dAnIeL did not specially congratulate himself but the company did reward him. That is to let him coninue his promotions in Malaysia, Singapore as well as to have fanclubs set up there and increase publicity on the internet. They hoped that dAnIeL will have more contact with his fans avoid having his fans speeding on motobikes or sneaking up in his hotel to see him. dAnIeL said that in Taiwan, fans rode on motorbikes, speeding on the highways to catch up with him. It's just like the movies. But dAnIeL is worried about the safety of his fans.
dAnIeL feels that things have been going on more smoothly this year. He recalls the time when he was bounded by those rumours and was often depressed. But this year, he is happier. When the topic turned to dAnIeL's mum remarrying, he said that this is a private matter of his mum and he doesn't want to talk about it. But as long as his family is happy, he'll be happy.

[11TH OF APRIL] ~Takung
There are reports that around the release of Leon's new album, Polygram will release Jacky Cheung's and dAnIeL's albums to "trap" Leon's album. dAnIeL said that his new cantonese album is in preparation and most probably will be out in June. About the "trap" thing, dAnIeL said that it's all sensitive talk. There are more and more singers these days and the market is not doing well so every album is pretty worrying. But he feels that as long as he did his best on his part and he believes that the company would release his album at a suitable time. Actually whenever singers dished out an album, there will be new songs so it's better not to be sesitive. And about the"trap" reports, dAnIeL said that he has come across such ever since he started out.
Some has earlier said that Polygram uses dAnIeL and Ronald Cheung to "attack" Nicholas Tse. So now by using dAnIeLand Jacky, it seems like daniel's position has stepped up in Polygram. dAnIeL said that such reports of "attacks" and "traps" are not true. If there was ever a need to compete, then they should do it face-to-face. Trapping the album is not possible.

[11TH OF APRIL] ~Mingpao
dAnIeL has not been in Hk for about 2 weeks now as he was busy with his promotion work in Taiwan. Once he ate too much when his stomach is not well, and along the way up to "Gao Xiong" (somewhere in Taiwan) he felt so horrible that he asked the driver to stop while he puked at the gas station. Thankfully dAnIeL was well enough by the time he came back to HK.
For the promotions, dAnIeL did about 40 over autograph sessions. But he says that he won't do it again. He feels that the autograph sessions were a form of promotion for the album but overdoing it may not be a good thing. The reason is that some fans who have queued up so long for the autographs are not able to get it. So dAnIeL thinks that having a mini-concerts or other activities such as swimming would be good.
Earlier, there are rumours that Polygram will release dAnIeL's and Jacky Cheung's album to compete with Leon's album release. dnaiel said that there are a lot of singers around and in times when the market is not doing well, every album is as worrying. So probably the company would observe what is the best time to release an album. Further, if there is serious intention to compete, there should be formal face-to-face competition!

dAnIeL's first concert for his newly set up dAnIeLaNd in taiwan was held last Saturday on the 4th of April. A total of 3000 over fans turned up and the crown was so enthusiastic that dAnIeL's mum who made the trip to support her son was moved to say that she is proud of dAnIeL!
The concert was only planned for about 1500 fans but because there are about another 1500 fans gathering outside the entrances, dAnIeL relented and allowed them to come in to join the fun. dAnIeL's fans took about 1 month for preparations and fans who signed up exceeded 2000 fans. At the concert, every move that dAnIeL made invited deafening screams and about 30 fans came down from specially from HK to participate.
Fans in Taiwan are so enthusiastic about dAnIeL that 10 of them took 6 motorbikes to chase dAnIeL around in the morning. This led to dAnIeL including a rule for dAnIeLaNd that there should be no chasing of cars. dAnIeL also sang "Hold on to your dreams" with nifty dance steps as a surprise gift for the fans. dAnIeL's mum also joined the cheering and screams to support dAnIeL. She said "I'm so moved. I must thank the fans for their strong love and support for dAnIeL. I'm so proud of my son."

dAnIeL has a firm footing in Taiwan, with 2 mandarin albums he sets up a fanclub - dAnIeLand in Taiwan. The first gathering was held in a hotel in Taiwan but it can only hold 1500 fans. However dAnIeL has lots more fans than that and another 1500 were stranded outside. In the end, they permitted the fans to go in and the whole place was packed. Though so, the fans were no trouble. dAnIeL sang, cut the cake and played games with the Taiwan fans. It ended about 2 hours later but dAnIeL's going to stay in Taiwan for more promotion work.

dAnIeL and A-Mei got voted as the Most Popular Artistes (Male and Female) in the Taiwan's Students Poll. When asked about how they feel about each other, A_Mei says that she finds dAnIeL cute and the deepest impression she remembered was when he sang the oldie "Jiao Dao" which she realises that dAnIeL can sing.
dAnIeL was happy after he got to know of the results and he hoped that he will have more refreshing ideas in his albums. About A-Mei, dAnIeL says that he finds her experienced in her singing and that she is great on stage.

At a report from one of the radio stations, dAnIeL and A-mei were the two artistes that received the widest broadcasting of their songs(male and female). Earlier both of them were voted the most popular male and female artistes in the Taiwan's Students Poll. A -Mei said that she has met dAnIeL before and finds him cute, always having a smile on his face. She has also heard him sing an oldie "Jiao dao" which she thinks he did quite well on it. For dAnIeL, he feels that A-Mei is superb in her singing. "I have seen her concert. She sings with zest!"

DaNieL is HaPpY coz his mum's remarrying!
dAnIeL has gained huge popularity and support within a short space of time. Besides his fans' support, his mum is also an ardent fan of his. Getting fans' support makes dAnIeL happy but what he is happiest about is that his mum has found someone and has remarried.
dAnIeL's parents are divorced, while he lives with his dad, he gets on pretty well with his mum too. Whatever activities that he has in HK, his mum will be seen regularly at the activites as a form of support. So when dAnIeL's mum remarries, dAnIeL supports her decision too. And dAnIeL's step father apparently takes a liking to dAnIeL too. In HK fans' gathering such as barbeque or cruise, dAnIeL's step father will be there with his mum, getting along well with each other.
Yesterday was dAnIeL's first concert for his newly set up dAnIeLaNd in Taiwan. About 2000 fans signed up for it and fans who were there included representitives from HK dAnIeLaNd. dAnIeL danced and sang, reading out the 9 rules for dAnIeLaNd as well as using his butt to form words for the fans to guess, getting much screams and cheers from them.
dAnIeL has only came out with 2 albums in Taiwan but the way he charms the fans and the extent of popularity naturally put him into place of a new "Hevenly King". The four Heavenly Kings of HK have all past their 30s, losing the fresh appeal and Taiwan's Little Heavenly King have too past their peak of fame. And the new generation of "Heavenly Kings" too came from HK and dAnIeL possesed the conditions and qualities to take after the throne.
The day before yesterday, dAnIeL's fans went on motorbikes to chase after dAnIeL and the high-sped dangerous experience has daniel worried. He thinks that the fans are too wild. So dAnIeL included a new rule that there should be not chasing on cars, for the safety of his fans.

dAnIeL was voted the Most Popular Artiste in the Taiwan's Students Poll topping the list with 1125 votes! Alongside A-Mei got the Most Popular Female Artiste. Both of them has been on the rise in popularity in HK and in Taiwan. dAnIeL beat Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau and Aaron Kwok...Cool!!

Double Champs for DaNiEl!
dAnIeL's new album "Intimate" not only topped the charts this week but is also the best selling album of the week! Coincidentally, two songs from dAnIeL's album are on the charts. One is"Intimate" and another "I want to know how you feel". dAnIeL being a newcomer with only 2 albums but is able to take the champ of the chart for a number of times shows not only because dAnIeL has the aura of an idol but also that he has "manly" vocals.

DaNiEl loves duck's tongue!!
Taiwan fans are so enthusiastic when seeing dAnIeL that they not only touch his butt, but also pinch him on his wrist. Each time when dAnIeL went back to bathe, he would find patches of green and purple on him. After such experiences, at yesterday's "Intimate" activity, dAnIeL specially laid down two rules, that is no touching nor pinching, but only concentrate on the jigsaw puzzle.
Yesterday, the newspaper chose 30 out of the thousands of faxes that came through to do the jigsaw puzzle with dAnIeL. Most of the lucky winners are female, mostly high school students and there is only one male. While doing the puzzle, they (female fans) openly said that their interest is more in dAnIeL than the puzzle, and it doesn't matter if they got the prize, just seeing dAnIeL is sastisfying enough. Hearing this, dAnIeL turned a shade red, and these female fans spent more time watching dAnIeL than the puzzle so the only guy there won.
dAnIeL's mandarin album"Intimate" has sold more than 300,000 albums and dAnIeL is elated hearing this. Yesterday at the game, he "took he advantage" and ask the fans what songs do they like. Most said "Not lonely in the nite" and "Generousity", dAnIeL then teased them delibrately, asking them "what about 'didadi'?"The fans' reaction was fast, saying that it is not his song.
dAnIeL loves to eat "duck's tongue"(a taiwan delicacy) and everytime he comes to Taiwan, he would spent 8,000 dollars buying them. When the fans got to hear about it, they took the initiative to buy for him. Yesterday, the fans gave yet another big pack of duck's tongue. When dAnIeL went back to his hotel, although he was not suppose to take anything spicy as he is having a flu, he couldn't resist the temptation and pop them into his mouth. Half -chewing, half-explaining, dAnIeL said "This is a sincere thought of the fans, i cannot let them down." TVBS will be showing dAnIeL's "Intimate" Puzzle Game tonite.
