Helen Hagemann's Poetry & Prose

'I found the writing very seductive and engaging. The explorations of the importance of memory and the celebration of places and times in a life are both recognisably from recent Australia and intriguingly individual. They are intensely personal as well as controlled and seen from a slight distance when necessary. The daily texture of different times in history, particularly the 50s and 60s, lifts from the page as if it is still happening.'
Jean Kent, ASA Mentor
