Helen Hagemann's Poetry & Prose

The poet is ecstatic, having dreamt of this visit for weeks.
He takes Erato's face, dribbling and wild, between his hands
and kisses her gently as if she were a runaway teenager.

WA SPRING POETRY FESTIVAL 2005

The WA SPRING POETRY FESTIVAL wraps itself around National Poetry Week

September 2005 is a jam-packed spring poetry month here in Western Australia.

So far, there are over 50 events planned during the month-long festival.

A feast of poetic activities all over WA, will celebrate poetry’s relationship with the public and public spaces. If you’re into poetry performance, poetry in public, world poetry, a poetry challenge, sub-verse, poetry readings, poetry on the page, on the walls, in the park, poet trees or guerilla poetry or whatever! There’s an event to suit most tastes. Bring out the poet in you!

See Events Page for details about what’s on offer. And check out the Who? What? How? links on the left to see how you can get involved. There is something for everyone.
