Jaws.  A huge shark is terrorizing a popular tourist island in New York.  It is up to the sheriff, played by Roy Scheider, to hunt down the shark and kill it.  Richard Dreyfuss also stars as a shark expert. This classic was directed by who else but Steven Spielberg. ****1/2

Jerry Maguire. Tom Cruise, Cuba Gooding Jr., Renee Zellwigger, and Jay Mohr star in this great film about a sports agent who loses it all and has to try to get back to the top while falling in and out of love. *****

Joe's Apartment.  It's a comedy but it's not funny.  Just a bunch of, yea you guessed it , talking cockroaches in a run down apartment.  This was MTV's first movie and it was lame.  *

Jurassic Park. I liked this movie a lot. I thought it was very fun and exciting. The dinosaurs looked very realistic, and the story wasn't that bad. The diabolical Newman, of Seinfeld fame is in it to. Because of the special effects, suspense, and the great story I give it *****.

Jurassic Park: The Lost World. This movie was a big mistake. The first one was good enough to not make a sequel. This sorry excuse for a movie is corny, boring, stupid, and downright irritating.  The highly annoying Jeff Goldblum stars. See the first one. Please Mr. Speilberg don't make a third one, Dinosaurs are extinct, and so should the Jurassic Park series. *
